Yep. Before his return to the NHL a few years back he was quoted as saying he would play for the Pens for the league minimum as a payback for everything Mario had done for him, then he turns around and stiffs em and signs with their cross state rival for $1 mil more than he would have got in Pittsburgh. Shame too, had he come back to the Pens at that point, he could have undone a lot of the hate left behind from the "dying alive" Capital days.
This makes me chuckle...
So many Penguins fans (I'm not saying you) give Bruins fans the old "sour grapes" treatment about Iginla. Basically we get told all the time to lighten up and stop whining that Iginla basically rejected Boston for Pittsburgh.
And yet, Jagr continues to be wedged deep deep deep up the backsides of Pittsburgh fans!
Lighten up.... he can choose where he wants to go at this stage in his career.
Jagr has some life left in him. He would be a good pickup for the right team that could use a power play specialist and some points left in him. I do not think Boston was a great fit for him. I hope he gets his third cup before he is done.
