Rangers Hawks Trade Proposal

Rangers need a shakeup. Rangers need more grit on this team, I know we need some d as well But giving up a dman would open a spot for a youngster or Ozo when he gets back.

Martin Lapointe to the Rangers for Karel Rachunek. We get more physical upfront and deal a soft dman.

Just what we need to improve our already perfect defensive coverage!

At that, just where does Martin Lapointe fits? Also, why shakeup the forwards with the team putting one of the best GF in the league? It's the D that's the problem, if anything trade for a bonefide defenseman.

thats not the main reason, it would be to open a spot for a kid like baranka, girardi, liffiton etc. And we get more grit on this team. This team need more grit.

So the Rangers add salary and get older. And they add to an already crowded forward corp. Why would the Rangers do this and how does it help them. Think man.

I know, I know, throw in Hossa.

No! Rachunek has been our best d-man! Why would we get a slug like Lapointe. Where exactly would he play, and where exactly would it leave Dawes, Immonen, Ortmeyer etc?

These trade proposals are just brutal AHall. The Rangers have plunty of 3rd and 4th line players right now and in the system as well. There is no point in trading away a young offensive d-man who has been one of the teams better defensemen so far this season for a old overpriced and slow 3rd-4th liner. The Rangers most glaring needs are a #1/2 D-man and a true #1 center. Obtaining a old 3rd/4th liner is taking a step back, not a step forward.

No!
Our forwards are fine. We are scoring enough and generally our powerplay picked up a little bit. We need an upgrade in defense not a new forward...we also need king henrik back...hes playing like a peasant. The only worth while deals IMO are one where we are dealing for 1 of these:
1: Good and a stress that word...power play quarter back
2: Solid Defensemen that won't turn the puck over

Basically our defense corps is ridden with #3,4,5 defensemen...
we need a 2 top 2...
Tyutin could become one of them if he was actually paired with a #1...

IMO the only dmen we have worth keeping are

Kasparaitis, Ward, Tyutin, Malik, and Pock...the others are useless...unfortunately Pock may be necessary trade bait.

I would focus on getting my defense to be and stay into position in front of getting more grit. What is grit worth if the opposing team's best scorer is all alone in front of goal?

What put the Blackhawks in such generous mood. Do they just want to dump his salary?

Henrik isn't playing as well because the blueline isn't playing up to par. Give it a few more games when coach can get the team into some extended practice. I think their overall game will come around and we will see the old henrik come november... or earlier.
