That's not the report, at the moment.

Its NO's 2014 pick going to PHI, not the other way around...

Who the hell is the GM of the Sixers? Makes Holmgren look good my god is this reported trade bad. Now we're out of what 3 1st round picks. We owe Miami, Orlando and now the Hornets right?

****!! There's the 2 likely replacements for Holiday with the last 2 picks.

We can't even tank now!

Lots of overreaction and misunderstanding in this thread...

It would be nice if we could get an authoritative answer, but the Holiday + 2nd for Noel + 2014 1st seems like a decent enough deal.

I love this trade. Clears 11 million in space and we will have 2 lottery picks next year along with 2 this year.

Michael Carter-Williams.

Him and Noel is the making of a pretty nice defensive core.

Q and A:

Quote:
New York -- On Wednesday afternoon, at a Westin Hotel in midtown Manhattan, Michael Carter-Williams and a handful of NBA prospects took part in a question and answer session with reporters. The NBA Draft will be held tonight in Brooklyn's Barclays Center and will be televised by ESPN at 7:30.

------------------------------------------

Quote:
Three months after nearly losing everything in a house fire, Syracuse’s Michael Carter-Williams is holding nothing back, as he prepares for the 2013 NBA Draft.

Hailing from Hamilton, Massachusetts, the 21-year-old point guard’s work ethic and disciplined approach have always led to success on the court.

After transferring to St. Andrew’s (a Rhode Island-based boarding school) during his sophomore year of high school, Carter-Williams began putting up impressive numbers both on and off the court.

While scoring an impressive 2,260 career points at St. Andrew’s, the lanky 6’6” point guard made the prestigious school’s honor roll in five consecutive semesters.

During his senior season, he averaged 23.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. More impressively, he earned 2011 All-American honors from McDonald’s, Jordan Brand, and SLAM Magazine.

I'm fine with this trade, Jrue is good... but to good for the sixers to suck enough to get good picks. Sixers need to do something thats for sure.

MCW and Noel played on the same AAU team.

So...at the moment:

MC-W
Turner
Young
_____
Noel

That's a nice enough young core, particularly if they can add a key piece next year at the draft.

Hinkie's doing what should have been done a while ago. You can't be a mediocre team in this league. You have to get bad first, and if next year's class is half as good as it looks it will be a good year to suck. I don't think he's done dealing either. Wouldn't be shocked to see Turner traded. He's not an efficient player. He's gonna load up on as much ammo as he can for next year's draft to make a run at one of the top guns. They did it last year at Houston and it resulted in James Harden.

Phew, much better trade now that we're the ones getting the 1st. It is pretty exciting to see the guy projected to go 1st overall going to the Sixers. He brings an image to the team that they haven't had in a long time.

Sixers having trouble filling empty seats

Well we know this isn't changing anytime soon

Quote:
One fed-up fan, Marc Melfi, recently bought an entire row of seats (18 tickets) for $0.72 and gloated about it on Twitter. Melfi’s purchase went viral and he has a message for the Sixers.

“You hope that the point comes across to the ownership, that the way things are going and the way they are treating the fans is not acceptable,” said Melfi, admitting that the stunt was done partly as a joke. “[Sixers CEO] Adam Aron is pretty much just a hype man. You’re watching them get blown out and guys are getting hurt all the time. We got eyes. We’re not stupid. We know what’s going on.”

so if i'm reading correctly the New Zealander guy from Pittsburgh that OKC just drafted is
-7 foot tall
-one of 18 children
-his father was a gold medalist in the olympic shot put
-most of the males in his family are around 6'9, the girls around 6'0

can we just like mail a bunch of pairs of skates and some goalie equipment to Wellington?

Science should be studying that family.

Sixers a lock for that last place spot next year, how greatly can your position be affected in the NBA lottery?
