I'm not going to lie I had a dream before I woke up this morning Homer moved up to second overall and drafted Seth Jones. No lie. I thought I was outta my mind for even dreaming it. I was even surfing HFboards in the dream. The funny part is it was a very lucid dream.

One can hope I'm a prophet sage.

I had my first ever Flyers-related dream last night. It was the season opener and Mason had a good first period before getting lit up by the Predators. Final score: 8-1.

Does anyone really think Fucale has a shot to go top 10?

I admit I really havent heard much about him, but man, that would really be a nice gift.

Also, with how alot of recent defenders have been drafted in the 2nd and 3rd (Subban, Weber, Keith..etc) and the Flyers propensity for drafting forwards in the 1st, wouldnt it be more likely for the Flyers to go forward with 11, or is this draft just considered so deep that its worth it to take Nurse or Ristolainen if they are there.

For me, I would lean towards a forward at 11 and then a D with the next 2 picks. I realize the Flyers are in dire need for impact defenseman, but I worry about the d-man bust factor in the 1st, and with the Flyers bang-factor in the 1st with forwards it just seems too enticing.

Just my opinion, and alot of you are much more informed than I am, just curious what you guys think because most of you seem to want to go with a defensman, even if its a reach (Zadorov, Morin, Morrisey..)

Good post and a cool way to look at the draft.

Also a good article to read since the Flyers always take a player or two who go to to play in the NCAA.

Pesce seems like he has a good future.

To me, it seems like he's one of the higher rated boom or bust prospects. Either he's going to develop nicely and fit on the top pairing or he's gonna be a 5/6 D man

It is going to be an interesting draft. If Mac and Drouin go 1 and 2, I have a feeling Tampa might take Barkov now that Vinny was bought out, that could really shake things up.

It is a shame the Flyers probably wouldnt be able to trade up to 4 to get Jones (without overpaying significantly).

I think Florida takes Jones if MacKinnon goes first. Tampa supposedly is high on Drouin and Nichuskin, but Barkov would also make sense.

By all accounts it seems the Flyers are trying to move up into the impact area of the draft. They also are rumored to really really like Nurse, and so do I. I wouldn't mind getting him at all. Also there is always doubts about players, especially defenseman. I have no problem taking Nurse. Could be the next big thing on defense.

as per the flyers

being high on nurse, teams may release a bit of info on whom they like at the draft, but in the history of drafts, teams are being dishonest by only releasing positive traits of a prospect, creating a smoke screen and are attempting to turn a pigs ear into a silk purse. their draft list is hidden, and only a small number of people know the contents of said list. in any kind of a press release, they will sit their and say very nice things about all prospects.

Makes me really happy to see Chris out and about. I think he would make a really great coach if he ever wanted to pursue that.

i would crap my pants if Homer was able to swing a deal for the 2nd overall pick. Probably not going to happen without giving up a buttload, but man do i love me some Seth Jones.
