Stud, he does everything well and has off the charts hockey IQ. I've been salivating over him for three years now. He can join the rest of the family in Calgary.

I think the 2014 will be weak. Not sure about the 2015 but whoever gets the 1st pick in 2015 will be one heckuva happy team.

I think Sam Bennett will go pretty high.

I'm just glad Sam Reinhart doesn't rhyme with fail, fall, tank, last or any other annoying word that can be used to describe loser slogans...of course somebody will come up with something

Don't try hard for Reinhart.

Anyways...

Ive seen Sam a few times. I wasn't overly wowed but at the same time he was younger and smaller than most but he was making some big plays.

I see a lot of RNH in him. Very shifty and creative with the puck. 1st line center without a doubt though.

I don't think Reinhart is the clear cut number one at this point and Ekblad is a beast so I could see someone saying "Be bad for Ekblad"

What about Michael Cramarossa? His older brother Joseph developed well. I think he's a good 3rd round pick.

what if Anton Karlsson is the Forward version of Erik does that mean he will be one of the best two way forwards or one of the best scorer in the NHL

I believe Anton's related to the '94 born forward named Erik, not the defender we all know so well.

Correct. He's also nothing like a forward version of the Senators Erik Karsson, more like a Landeskogish type of player.

2014 NHL draft: Aaron Ekblad

Could Aaron Ekblad be the #1 pick in the 2014 NHL draft? Already great NHL size at 6"4 213 pounds.

-But we all seen Seth Jones in the 2013 draft ranked 1-2, drop to #4 slot. But could Ekblad stick at 1-2? With Reinhart projected around the #1-2 slot as well.

-Ive seen tons of Mock Drafts with Ekblad ranked from 2-5. I just don't see that. I see him at 1-2.

Here's some names of guys that are being ranked pretty highly.

-Sam Reinhart: I see him going around 1-2

-Aaron Ekblad (D) : I see him going 1-2

-William Nylander: I have seen rankings from 2-4, I see him going 3-5.

-Nick Ritchie: I have seen ranking around 3-5, I see him going 5-8 slot.

-Roland McKeown (D): I have seen rankings from 5-7, If there's not many D's in the top 10, i see him going from 5-6 slot.

-Leon Draisaitl: I have seen rankings from 6-7, I see him going 4-5.

-Jack Glover (D): Rankings from 15-17, Again if there is not many D in the top 10 he can pull into the top 10 slot.

-Josh Ho-Sang: Rankings from 15-18, I see him in the top 10.
__________________________________________________ _

But it all depends on how they progress this upcoming season.

Here's 3 guys to keep an eye on,

Aaron Ekblad

Josh Ho-Sang

Nick Ritchie

Glad to see Mason McDonald will be playing for Canada at the Ivan Hlinka. Definitely someone to keep an eye on. He's got the size and mobility that every NHL team looks for in a goalie.
No point in predicting this early where he'll be picked, but he's one of many that could end up as the first goalie drafted.

Aaron Ekblad is solid defensive defenceman who plays all situations. He was the 2nd player to be granted 'Exceptional Player Status' and will be drafted 1st overall just as John Tavares was and as Connor McDavid will be in 2015. Sean Day may not be as he was the 1st EPS player not to be drafted 1st into the OHL (4th)... Nikolay Goldobin will go top 10

Ekblad going first is not set in stone. In fact, I would be surprised if he goes first.

Me too.

I think a large part (not all) of his exceptional status was due to him being developed like a 20 year old at 14. This isn't meant to be a knock on his ability, but at 15 the kids beard rivaled those of the guys on Duck Dynasty.

He's a good hockey player, but I don't agree with those who are using his exceptional status for a reason to have him #1. Needs to develop a lot more offensively, or he'd be very much a Chris Phillips type #1 pick.

There's always a rhyme..just takes some creativity..

Bad start for Reinhart
Scam for Sam....

Fall for Dal Colle
Bad for Ekblad
Sad for Ekblad
Meander for Nylander
