It's Montreal....clowns are a dime a dozen. Look at city hall.

Not an Ek fan in the least. Have to say I posted in the Habs offseason thread that the Habs are ripe for making some big transactions as Bergevin et al. have had a chance to see, assess and conclude what they need. Because they have as many picks, cap and competition, how do they not make a couple of big moves here and put his stamp on his team?

I wouldn't at all be surprised if we have a few significant chances this off season. Dudleyhas some some crazy draft moves and Bergy is all about the draft. Unlike most Ek ru,IRS, this one actually makes a lot of sense.

That wouldn't be Parade status though

MTL trades asset ( possibly a Centre) + Picks at the draft to Tampa to move up, then draft Drouin

MTL and Tampa reach an Agreement over Lecavalier, He signs a short term deal in MTL then returns to Tampa

I've had a feeling the past few days that Bergevin really wants Drouin and is gonna pull something off to get him.

Bowmeester Pietrangelo Jackman Shattenkirk Polak Russell and Cole is lack of depth on the back end?? I'd say it's one of the deepest/best D cores in the league

What they need is center depth (Backes, Berglund... Sobotka) Need a 2nd line or 3rd line C. We got a few of those

Someone on this board told us about the Knight interview and the twitter message of MacMillan was taken down obviously but I saw that in a Hockey30 article this morning

DD & 1st for 37yo Martin St-Louis. Then, Lecavalier has no other choices but to sign here.

DD is loved by TB assistant gm, is taller than st-louis, young and fit there rebuilt.

Here? Parade! With stlouis and lecavalier.

I would be ecstatic to move up and get Drouin, but I would be upset at what we might have to give up.
None the less we will wait and see.

And then trade Galchenyuk for Brad Richards, Subban for Corey Sarich, three first rounders for Dan Boyle, and sign Nabokov. Party like its 2004.

My gut tells me Price will be traded this weekend in a blockbuster move. A seperate trade will see us acquire Luongo as a 2-3 year gap fix until we groom a replacement. We sign Vinny on 7/5.

Honestly i would do

Plekanec
Beaulieu
1st (25th)
2nd (34th)

VS

3rd Overall

But i think that tampa would be looking to add a little something coming back their way, just by knowing the fact that the habs would be all in for the DROUIN pick.
That's maybe why Krysto, Young NHL ready (for a team like tampa) would been talked about maybe.

Would you do the

Plekanec
Beaulieu
Krysto
1st (25th)
2nd (34th or 36th)

VS

3rd OA (if DROUIN still available)

I would because he'S a sure shut NHLer, maybe not a superstar, but him with gally and gallagher growing up together might get you some nice return.
And they would calm down everyone sniffing around saying they do not draft french canadien player....

Drouin is a good player, but worth all that?? Now, Mackinnon, that's a different story...

Drouin is sort of a diety right now on HF. He's suposedly better than Galchenyuk and Yakupov put together.
