How do you not cheer for the team that humiliated the Leafs AND the Penguins?

All honesty, I like your team because of Kelly mostly.

Thomas has been kicking our ***** for years now. Usually we're so outmatched against your style of play and goaltending that there's not much to fuel a real rivalry there.

Boston is a tough team to beat. if the sens even want to consider making the scf next year, they need to be able to beat teams like boston.

No support from me, except I quite liked the leafs loss in round one.

The only thing better was to see the bruins lose the cup in even more heartbreaking fashion in front of their own fans.

JOB speaks the truth. Plus they have several players who are too easy to despise.

Me too. Once the finals rolled around, my appreciation for Redden and Kelly trumped my disdain for Lucic and Marchand.

Oh well, at least we got to see Emery lift it...

Seen many references to this and every time I do a few searches and every time I fall short. Can someone explain, preferably with a link, exactly what Commodore said that was so awful.

This is just a Brennan article with a few quotes from the original:

Like Boston more than the Hawks. But both teams have so many former Sens its hard to cheer for one side. As a Canucks fan too, hated seeing Big Z lift the Cup in 2011. That being said, he deserved it though.

Look forward to doing battle with the new divisions next year. Let it be a Ottawa-Boston-Detroit-Tampa playoffs. I never want to see the over performing Habs and Laughs in the Playoffs again.

Go back to Riga, loser.

I'm a Latvian sens fan and i kinda didn't like his comments about that one too though.
Btw. No one needs him here in Riga.

In the finals I was rooting for Chicago.....I won a beer so I guess my loyalty comes cheap.

(Always had a soft spot for the Bruins going back to Orr and Espo days....but it was beer :p)

Was rooting for the Bruins.

Still like Z, Redden, Kelly, Daugavins, Chia.

Love Bergeron and Lucic.

They caused Toronto to be the laughing stock of the league after a huge choke in Game 7. They swept one of the most unlikeable teams in the NHL - the Penguins.

Plus I wanted them to win it for the city.

Martins?

I have a legitimate question. Do Latvians know about the internet joke involving them and potatoes?

Chicago is my favourite Western team but I like the way the Bruins are built & love the way Bergeron plays the game. He is the most underrated player in the NHL, he is good at every aspect of the game & proved he can shut the best players down. Having Chara behind you must help too.

I'm still a big Hossa fan, so I was down with the Hawks.

Like both teams. Its close, but Chicago is probably my favourite American team, and my second favourite team overall is close between Chicago, Boston, and Calgary (love Calgary's never-give-up, compete to win at all times approach, even if they get ripped for waiting this long to rebuild, I really respect their competitive spirit, unlike their provincial colleague....). I was so happy when they were the final two. And any team that sweeps Crysby and Cooke's Pens out of the playoffs is A1 in my book. Plus, after the Boston Marathon tragedy, it was nice to see Boston have a long playoff run to cheer for. The humiliation of the Laughs was sweet as well.

But thanks again for all your support. You guys are quickly making your way to my second favorite team list. Just boeught a Senators hat yesterday.

Thank you for eliminating the Canadiens, and thanks for being friendly. Wishing you guys the best of luck next year as long as it doesnt mean beating us lol

Goodnight
Boston's been my #2 for awhile now.
Redden, Rooster, Kelly, Chara, Chiarelli. Just remember where those guys came from
But thanks and good luck.
