Markov will get back in stride, its still early and he has had a rough year with his father passing and all.

he'll be fine.

He's by far not the worst defencemen this year in his own zone. Not even the worst in the offensive. 4 assists in 6 games.

Coincidentally, Kaberle has struggled a bit with the Leafs too.

you know what?

i dont care that it's 6 games in.

he should of been primed up for this new season.

he has no reason that i can think of that would prevent him from continuing on his last year's stride.

Did he play over his head? i dunno.

But unless Markov is injured like Ryder was last year, there's no reason why he should not clearly be our best dman.

Forget Rivet/Souray, we know what to expect from these guys. But Markov...he's not playing like he can out there and something's up.

I couldn't agree more. Last year was the same thing, I think.

He's the anti-Brian Savage.

The good side if that if he keeps it up, we might be able to keep him at $3m or so.

Markov takes most ice time among our defencemen - 24:41 ... which is over two minutes more than our second highest among defender (Souray). Its still early, of course hes not at full speeds yet, give him time to get his game legs back.

While he hasn't been dominant, I can't really complain about Markov thus far to be honest. He's only been our 2nd best d-man, and we expect him to be the best, but it's not like he's dropped off the face of the earth or anything.

He and Komi should be seeing around 25 minutes a night, IMO, and that's exactly what Markov is getting right now.

That is scary. Really. I want to be sold on this guy but... he has flashes of goodness then stretches of games with poor decisions. If he was consistantly good it would be another thing.

Think of it. After a good season (with bad stretches, he sucked in post season last year. Pre-season this year... he caused defensive errors that caused goals, and so far this early season, he has been underwhelming.

I believe he will pick up his game. But DO IT SOON!

When the season is over.... if I have $5M to spend on a D, it is not him. And it won't be Sourary either.

My crowd? I don't know, I really doubt it's that. I've got all types of friends.

But if Simple plan is emo, than I get what you mean. I just though emo was some type of acronym for something.

well i meant you didnt strike me as being the kind to hang out with emos.

i mean emos only hang out with other emos cuz, frankly they're depressing. not sure if you're into that sort of thing, but you just didnt seem to be.
