Told this could be year Eric Nystrom comes to one of the NY-NJ locals. Plenty of interest and he'll get multi-year deal.

Looks like everyone's incredibly mundane wish might come true.

Whose the elite puck possession player? You may be using that term a little bit liberally in this case.

Ohh you typed Dubinsky but didn't see it?

Yes, yes it is. 2 elite puck possession players with playmaking skill to accompany a goal scoring machine. I personally think it's a hell of a line.

From the trade, the Jackets got two very good puck possession players in Dubinsky and Anisimov. In fact, they were tops for the Jackets last season.

Yes, also Dubinsky is cost effective but Nash is an albatross...

A damaged goal scoring machine who manage to score 11 goals this season.

I know who they got in the trade, but being tops on the Jackets is a far cry from being elite.

The departure of Anisimov kept Richards afloat in New York. True story.

Don't really see Nash being on par with other players carrying near 8m cap hit. There are certainly a lot of comparable for Dubinsky at 4mil. And there will be in this FA class.

We got Kershaw, you hate everything the rangers do.

I can't wait until Richards makes you put your foot in your mouth next year under AV. Same goes for Kreider. Yeah I said it...I support Richards. See you all for training camp.

I disagree because Dubsinky is still a very overpaid 3rd liner and Anisimov is a middle of the lineup guy they threw on their first line. It's not like they're scoring bundles for them. They DID vastly improve their PK which was a big factor in them being relevant this year.

He is one season removed from being 3rd in the NHL in goals and has been a top performer post 2006 lockout.

His skating isn't nearly as bad as people here would say. He's a good dman with some flaws that get blown up by pissed off fans.

Don't you think it's so odd that almost every GM in the league is interested in MDZ, more or less?

It was very rough watching Richards and Kreider play last season. For the sake of this team, I hope you're right and I hope I do end up putting my foot in my mouth.

Dubinsky as a player making 4m is on par than most guys making that salary in today's salary cap. He is not a 3rd line producer when he was on pace for 50+ pts and contribution to the Jackets' overall game. Anisimov was scoring at a good rate too and he isn't a top line C by any means, but he is still a very valuable player. Both were huge assets that turned around the Jackets last season.

I can understand the displeasure with Richards, but Kreider? Rookie year and he was given a short leash after having a productive playoffs. That was ridiculous. I am not saying he was owed a damn thing but all he had to do was blink wrong and he was in the doghouse.

Let's see if he regains that form. I hope he does I'm a Columbus Rangers fan, to an extent.

How can fans support Richards after his abomination display of hockey last season? I don't think I'm exaggerating when I'm saying this, but I feel besides a few games, he was an utter disaster while on the ice.

On our team, he's the 5th best skater after McD, Moore, Stalman, and Staal. And while I don't think his skating is terrible, it isn't anything special either, especially for our supposed PMD.

I'm not thinking Kreider is a bust or anything, but I don't think he is anything overly special either. He should be a solid 3rd line player in a few seasons. I'm just not a fan of his playing style. And I don't think he was 'mistreated' as fans like to say. He didn't warrant any minutes on the roster with the top players.

Which is true, but that doesn't mean people can't support him. I hope he regains form for the team's sake, I don't want him dead or anything. Definitely wouldn't mind him bought out at some point though.

I agree with that he was a complete and utter disaster.

Who knows the reason, though? I wouldn't say he lacked effort...he just looked gassed and incapable of keeping up with the play. Looked like his legs were gone. Hopefully it was simply from lack of conditioning due to the lockout and him being involved and meetings, and he works his ass off and comes back to the team in top shape. I don't think it'd be farfetched. Not expecting him to be much better than he was even in 11-12, but I do think he'll improve after last year; he really doesn't have anywhere to go but up.

I'm not going to go into the season hoping Richards fails...that would be moronic. Even if I don't like him as a player, I still want him to succeed.
