Cal Clutterbuck

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
Echoing info from @Russostrib, but MIN's Cal Clutterbuck is likely to be dealt this weekend.

He plays a very hard nosed game wouldnt mind picking him up if possible.

I would give a lot to have him on this team.

I don't see the need to trade for him now that we have Jones, if we want another physical bottom 6 player there are many of them in UFA.

I would prefer to give Olsez a shot.

Jones is physical? I don't know much about him but a word I heard tied to his name was soft

He isn't Lucic tough but he does throw a fair amount of hits.

I would love Clutterbuck if we could somehow work out a win-win deal to get him out of Minny, but I think the asking price is way too high for us... We are probably better off looking at procuring players like him through smart drafting, not trading; thus playing to our organizational strength.

Looks like Seguin's on the blocks too.
I'm excited, this is going to be a crazy few days.

Not 100 per cent yet but looks like Nathan Horton will NOT be back with BOS. B's talking trade and Tyler Seguin's name has been discussed.

I would do lots to get Clutterbuck.

I would do so much more to get Seguin.

Dear hockey gods, let us have one of these please.

Clutterbuck is a bottom 6 player who will be nice to have but eventually will become too expensive for a contenter to pay.

Sequin is a top 3 guy who could be part of your core for years to come.

Apples and watermelons.

I know hahaha. Like I said, I'd do a lot more to get Seguin. He's exactly the kind of player this team needs.

I assume you mean Clutterbuck. In which case I agree, we don't need him, I just happen to like him as a player.

With Horton now on the market I think the flames need to make a big push for him.

Why not he comes in with a winning attitude would become one of the best if not the best player on the team.

I'd be a bit worried of Horton's previous injuries.
But he is still a good player. Not sure about $6 million a year though.

I'm nervous and excited for tomorrow. Can't wait for the draft and some movement. All of this speculation is killing me.
Anyone else?

Disagree he fills several needs is available and can be had for a large sum of money when we have 25 million in cap space with little of our own players needing contracts in the next 2-3 years.
