pulock

for starters i live 1700 miles closer to brandon than the american flyers fans. pulock, yup i have seen the guy play. am i a fan on his. not much. would say he is a #4 dman, and now for his ceiling, he may already have reached it, and if he has not, it is not as appetizing as jones, risto, nurse, morrisey. now of the above talk that he will slip to the second round, would i take him in round 2, take him.

That is all.
LOL. You would think I said his floor was Suter.
You said worst case he's Keith Yandle. Even if you say Yandle's not a #1, he's a high end #2 and has borderline-elite (only Karlsson is clearly above) offensive skills. To say that's Pulock's worst case scenario it absurd. Worst case scenario is Marc-Andre Bergeron.

Teams are probably holding out for better returns. GM's will get more antsy today.

That said, Rychel is my personal favorite forward in the draft.

If we had a pick in the 20's, he'd be my darkhorse for the Flyers' next Laughton as a, "Hey we didn't draft a defenseman...again...but here is a prospect who looks good now and is going to be a freaking phenom in 5 years."
I have been calling for him since last season. He is still my favorite forward in the draft. The kid has "Flyer" all over him just not at 11. He has a good shot at playing in the league next season also. I just hope they do not pick Fucale. My three choices are Morin,Rychel and Morrissey. Sam is the only one I would pick at 11. I look at Morin and see a younger Chris Pronger. I really love this young kid's game and would be willing to wait for him to mature. However the Flyers love Nurse,Monahan,Pulock and Ristolainen. I like all of them except Pulock. To me he is a one trick pony and I hope they agree with me. Well boys and girls, its almost time! Just a few hours to go and lets hope for the best. GO FLYERS!

Well, if you add all the talent from outside of North America, it kind of becomes a stretch to pick him at #11.
I'd be happy to have him in our system, but we can do better with #11.

Sure or the other other sticky.

Eventually, GKJ opens individual threads for Flyers' players once the announcements are made. I suppose we will honor that tradition pending further changes.

EDIT: Confirmed without link.

Flyers do not draft Euro players, come on.
They draft mostly Canadian junior players and college players.

What motive would they have to do that? There's no one ahead of them, it's not like they need to throw anyone off?

The bulk of comments are being made in the other sticky thread related to the draft. If people want to move there as the draft proceeds, it is recommended.

Not trying to hate... but why does it seem that Swedish players for the most part can speak fluent english, but Finnish players in the draft cannot? Is swedish closer to english than finnish? What is it haha, because Barkov's english is lacking.

Most Finns speak and understand English to a high level, but have a heavier accent than Swedes.

Yeh, Swedish is very similar to English in structure, almost like synonyms for english words... Finnish is an alien language, it was only first written down and had rules applied to it in the last 200 years... by Swedes!
