Some attempted clarity in all this craziness

I know that it's pretty crazy in here right now. We suddenly traded the goaltender that we expected to carry us to the promised land, and we didn't get the value that some of us expected.

But let's look at the facts here. Tortorella will clearly have a better system for the goaltender than AV did, who just never gave a ****. Gillis wanted another Kesler type, and he found one. Horvat could jump into our system next year.

Obviously he didn't take the Oilers offer to get him much farther away from Vancouver than Edmonton, and took a lesser deal to place him in the Eastern Conference.

This could be really, really good for our team, if handled properly.

Also, you have to figure if they're willing to trade Schneider, they must have confidence in Eddie Lack's progress.

Obviously we're all still in shock...but Gillis has put himself FIRMLY in the firing seat with this trade. It's all on him now. Let's at least just see how it plays out.

What the hell are you even talking about? That's not a fact, that's a ******** statement that makes absolutely zero sense.

The only fact here is that the Canucks significantly downgraded their goaltending position and got nothing in return to help the current team win during their last few years of Cup window.
