Mine is maxim lapierre because is a quebecer lol got great speed underated offensive skill great defensif player pain to play againts (that what i like the most about him) and he is always running his mouth on the ice a la tucker/barnaby and what about u guys?
Emelin. He's the only one of this mold that we have, and the first in a long time I might add. Plus, I think he will be good enough to take Souray's place on the PP (when Souray will leave, something I hope will happen later than sooner, unless we get something really good in return).
I love the skills of A. Kostitsyn. He has so much talent. He has a great shot. Handles the puck very well at high speed. He has quick soft hands enabling him to do things other hockey players cannot do. Has the potential to be a first line winger. He could in a few years give the Habs a 40 + goal scorer. He is exciting to watch. I hope he gets a good chance to show his skill this year in a Habs uniform.
Go Canadiens...Go A. Kostitsyn...
Lots of prospects I like, but only one I love (in a very manly way ). Kyle Chipchura. He's the incarnation of what, to me, makes a team win it all. Character, grit, hockey sense, leadership, he's a guy who makes no mistakes, makes his teammates better and will sacrifice his body for the team and the W. Plus he's got underrated playmaking and offensive instincts. He's going to become a vital part of this team in no time as well as the whipping boy of all the fans who determine the value of a player based solely on stats.
Both come from my part of the country, and will both be key contributors in the NHL IMO. Chipchura reminds me of Chris Higgins a little, in terms of his leadership. I think in the end, Higgins will be a more skillful player with greater offensive upside, however both players possess the future captain tag, which is often valued. I would be very comfortable if we can have both players in our lineup years from now.
I'm personally pulling for Carey Price, because there are certainly a lot of doubters, who question whether we should have taken Bourdon, Kopitar or Brule. What I've seen of Price in the past is that he seems a lot more mature for his age, and seems quite composed. I'm really lookng forward to seeing whether he can crack the Canadian lineup for the World Juniors, because that will be an incredible platform for a future Montreal Canadiens netminder.
I had a chance to meet both players last summer, and both were outstanding guys to just talk with. That's another reason I'll pull very hard for them to make it big.
Kinda strange that no one is picking Latendresse. Its kinda hard to find my favorite prospect we have too many good ones. My favorite prospect used to be Komi and now hes become my favorite player. I have to say its between Kost, Price and Lats. I like them because they all bring something really different to the table, tehy all have a chance to be dominating players and can become the face of the team. I cant wait to see Kost maning the point on our PP with Lats screen the net and kost. Needless to say it could be a hell of a combination.
Any if i have an order to rank them it would be :
Carey Price is my favorite prospect by far. I was a huge fan from the moment I saw him in the semi-final game of the U-18 tournament in April 2005. Despite the fact that he's getting very little respect from the Hockey's Future community in general, I think Price's potential is up there with any other prospect - aside from Sid the Kid - who was picked in the top 10 in 2005. His quick glove, his cat-like reflexes, his ability to move from one post to the other so quickly, his size and his exceptional puckhandling skills are all qualities that will make a very solid #1 goaltender at the NHL level in my opinion.
Next on my list would be Matt D'Agostini, Kyle Chipchura, and David Fischer.
