It's like when the New England Patriots draft a QB that is falling. Worst case scenario we trade him for a much better draft pick in a couple of year.

Not a horrible pick, was best goalie available but I would not of pick a goalie at 36... I would of prefer Dauphin...

Exept that Price is not really Brady's level. Never will be.

Wow what a draft for the Habs. We are drafting two things we dont have currently: Goaltending and size

I guess it's a very good value at this point but I still would have preferred Dauphin or Zykov...

Do you have any idea of the time frame required to develop an NHL starting goalie?

He's overrated, but that doesn't mean he's not good.

Not as big of a value pick for me as some of you think, but it makes sense.

Don't love this draft by any means though.

No, it absolutely doesn't. Unless this guy is the second coming of Patrick Roy (which he likely isn't) he's not going to see any NHL ice for at least 3 years.

This is the 1st Habs pick that I don't dislike. This draft is certainly turning out to be a "needs" draft.

It's not a bad draft but it's not one that makes me jump for joy. To be fair we did have a great draft last year

Love this pick, and definitely didn't expect it at 36. I'm always on Price's side, but in a few years, Fucale can definitely challenge Price. There's now someone in the organization that can push him in a few years. We'll see how Price responds.

Fucale might very well take 7+ years before being a starter in the NHL and it would be considered normal.

Schneider, a good first rounder, finally became one. He's 27 now.

Quick became one at around 22. 4-5 years after his draft.

You think Fucale will be ready to replace Price in two years? Get down from your cloud.

Bernier who just got traded to Toronto is about to become a starter after 7 years. Very true

Draft reaks of Rick Dudley. My guess is Timmins leaves in the next couple years and we go back to one of the worst scouting departments in the league.

Fucale will be the next one in Montreal. I usually don't go out there, but I'll tell you right away: he will be there when we challenge for the big One.

Fucale will be ready when Price will become an UFA and sign with Dallas where he can go à l'épicerie, what a great pick!

At least the Habs are forced to take time with his development and not force him into the starting role.
