Mattias Janmark

Corey Pronman @coreypronman
DET selects Nylen. He has a lot of skill, good offensive instincts, decent body. Feet are a little heavy.

Quote:
“He’s confident with the puck, his speed his fine, his hands are very good, and he’s tenacious — he chases the puck all the time,” Andersson said. “He’s not physical, but he chases the puck. If he loses it, he chases it and gets it right back. If he doesn’t have the puck, his feet are always moving.”

“I like what he can do with the puck, but that goes along with the fact that he plays with intensity all the time,” Andersson said. “Those two things, that he’s good with the puck and plays with good intensity — that’s what I like.”

Overage pick. Did great in his first SEL season on a bad team.

A Hakan pick in the 3rd round. They must be pretty high on him.

He's listed at C/LW, which is his natural position?

He was a center this year and in J20 last year.

I don't even know if I should ask this, but has anyone seen him play? I've never heard of him.

Anyone know what this guy is like? He's a 2x overager for the draft. Anyone have anything on him?

I can't lie, the Swedish flag on your profile forces me to assume you're an expert. "In retrospect, I like this pick!"

You are literally all I have to go on as he's unranked by Central afaict.

Cheers

Whoa, nice... Typical Håkan pick out of the blue.
He played both C & RW this year - 2nd in point on the team.
And I did actually mention him in the: draft possible overage thread

My assessment? I think he's a 3rd rounder and he went in the 3rd round. Always hard to compare overagers with first time eligibles.

He's a really good playmaker. Seems to see the ice very well. He ran the powerplay for AIK at age 19-20.
