Definitely.

Is he a better or worst fighter than Tinordi was at his age? If so, whoever taught Tinordi in London needs to get on his case asap.

With that big body, he doesnt need a slapper. Park him right in front of the goalie.

When we people realize that Trevor Timmons is a better scout then they are. I love the diverse group we've hauled in this draft.

Just picked Gregoire in the 6th! GREAT pick!

Watching some video of him playing with USA in the gold medal U-18 game. They have him in front of the net on a PP. He looks to be a pretty good skater. He seems strong a long boards. And he scores a goal.

Projected at 34 and we take at 25 and many here are wetting their pants. Get over it! He has assets we lack. Crossing my fingers here.

Apparently Habs don't want zykov because they picked two more guys before he was finally picked. So who should I trust- Habs brain trusts or you?

It was a joy watching Desharnais parked in front of the net and jumping out of the way when a shot came only to be buried by the PMD from ____________(pick any and every team in the NHL) as the stay at home DMan chuckled.

This team has needed a player like this for so so long. I wish him well in the O and am ready to see him playing for the Habs.

I like our picks.
I mocked picked other players, was hoping to get Zykov.
I hope we pick Tyler Hill with our seventh or Mads Eller.

I wont complain and say this guy is already a bust or blah..blah...blah
like i have been reading.

You know why....because Timmins knows his job a lot better than i do.

Patience Bergy is meticulous and is slowly righting the ship.

I get it. With McCarron's play at the U18, and the progression he has shown through the year I think this could be a great pick. We'll have to see how he progresses, hopefully in London next year.

One thing that I noticed about him is that he's really good at taking a pass. There were a couple times that I watched him where someone rifled a pass and I expected it to just skip off his stick. But he always managed to cradle the pass, and take the puck to the net.

Hoping this turns into another thread we look back on in 5 years and laugh at all the negativity.

P.S. Still laughing at Bergevin saying "I like thanks very much Lou Lamoriello..."

No offense but I think it's sad when fans obsess about the fighting skills of a first rounder. Like this is what will make or break that pick. For all we know fighting will be banned within the next 5.

I care about toughness and compete level as much as the next guy, but his fighting skills, as well as Tinordi's by extension, are so far back on the list of important traits. Let the guys with little else to offer do the fighting. If his fighting skills become a major part of his role, it will be because this pick was a failure.

Milan Lucic disagrees with you. So does David Clarkson, Ryane Clowe and even a younger Lecavalier.

If/when they ban fighting, we go back to being the pushovers that Ottawa enjoyed playing against.

No...he said he'd do what the Habs want. No word from the Habs on their desires for him yet.

The Bruins drafted a 6' 6" DMan in the 5th round named Wiley Sherman.

Get ready for some epic battles.

Watched some highlights from the WJC and he seems good at protecting the puck and seems to have good speed for a guy his size. Pretty surprised and pleased

It's not Galchenyuk, but I do like the pick. It's way to early to make a call on him. We will see in a few years. I remember fans being pisses off when Timmins passes on A. Esposito for an unknown american... you know that kid... what was the name again... Ahh yes Max Pacioretti

It's a project but it's a big one the kind we could end un enjoying. As long as it's not a Brent Bilodeau type of pick.

Something about this pick is telling me Timmins was choosing based on strict criteria from Bergevin, rather than going with his own analyses like how Gainey and Gauthier let him do.

Look at the later picks in the draft, those are Timmins-like picks, but the first few? Something's not right here.

We have no way of knowing. But I think we need to start trying to draft some guys like this, because it's something we need and right now the only way we can get it is to pay.
