They have been able to, they just traded them away. Weise. Anisomov. Dubinsky. Korpikoski.

I rather try to produce a top 6 player.

Did Clark draft any of those guys?

To that effect, they haven't produced much elite talent either. They need both.

Yea ya know what, thats what I used to think. I agree its tougher when picking in the mid-late first round every year. But lately, when you look at teams that are successful, they are strong 1-20 in the lineup every night. I dont see top end talent being developed and I dont see bottom end depth being developed. We got plenty of 2nd/3rd line tweeners though, and its bordering on redundancy.

I'm intrigued by this kid. Poor work ethic is a worry but he's got some good tools to work with.

Let me ask you something, would you like to work with a coworker that constantly complains? A lot of people are heavy users of HFBoards and don't want to read complaining in every thread, especially considering most people actually don't think that the team is the worst thing in the history of the world. (I complain too, though I try to keep it to GDTs, though that doesn't always happen).

Yes it is! First of all, the term "mistake" is subjective. The Rangers haven't been winning cups, but you have a more negative picture of Sather than everyone but Kershaw and maybe Drew. So, this is not some objective truth you have discovered. Second, even if it were a subjective truth, no one is standing with a gun to your head telling you to turn every ****ing thread into a "Rangers are the worst team ever" thread. You don't HAVE to *****. At least I take responsibility for when I whine. You can't take responsibility for anything. You clearly can't help it. It's not your fault. I hope in real life you take some responsibility.

Ironically this guy constantly complains how little talent we have. Now we try to go for talent, we lack depth! No wonder he thinks Sather keeps making mistakes, to him a Sather mistake is anything Sather does. He basically changes his argument to accommodate his Sather hate.

Yup, we all complain and its normal to do so and some of us express it more than others, which is OK as well. What's irritating to me is that its non stop about whatever, whoever as it deals with the Rangers, all the time...

Realism sets in when you're behind that bench. You can't hide under the illusion that the personnel is better/more creative than it actually is.

Happened to Renney, happened to Tortorella, and I think its a good bet it'll happen to Vigneault.
I guess he's hoping for better and more creative 3rd and 4th liners...

How about an elite part-Russian fan of the team?

I am 0.00% Asian, lol.

Russian, German, Swedish, and a tiny slice of British.

This redundancy allowed us to trade for Nash, and this redundancy will allow us to replace the guys we lost by replacing them with some of our prospects: Kreider, Miller, Fast, Lindberg, Thomas.

The other thing is that, when it comes to depth players ala bottom-6 guys, it's worth pointing out that we just saw a Bruins' team comprised of bottom-6 guys who are other teams castoffs.

Paille, Campbell, Peverly, Thornton, Kelly, Daugavins, Pandolfo...all non-homegrown guys & pretty much the same cast that won The Cup 2 years ago.

Just sayin...

At the end of the day I think this draft could be one of the more interesting. G & G got to sift thru a lot of sand to hopefully find a diamond or two. We know how thorough these guys are. Again, interesting.
