Pretty interesting.
It's kinda funny since some people feel Thrower might be better off converting to forward too.

This pick would have been done to get Samuel Morin.

Habs wanted to add size and having picked Morin would have allowed them to wait till second round to get McCarron.

Anyone has more information, Audio or anything?
Rumour I'm hearing,is soon as the other team involved read news of a Quebec parade,
They got cold feet....Eck blew the parade all to pieces.

Unless I didn't read correctly, Tyler Hill haven't been drafted... I hope he'll get an invite !

Overall, I'm really happy about our draft, especially our first 4 picks... size, skill, grit and although I didn't want Fucale, he's great value at 36 !

McCarron, oh yeah !

He has no Pro potential IMO, he was the product of Andrighetto and Kucherov. He's very soft and has a small frame.

Tolchinsky was undrafted? The prejudice against Russians is reaching crazy levels.

Timmins says Reway is a home run pick.

-Crisp was out there to protect McDavid and scored a few goals.

- No scouts were standing up for a player, so they decided to trade that 7th.

- Gregoire - loved the way he competed. Says he has "The eye of the tiger"

- You're going to like DLR. Brings it every shift. Every game. There's a possibility a junior team might draft him.

- No comment on McCarron going to London, or other. Not voicing his opinion

- Small hand injury for Lehkonen.

- McCarron's hockey sense and skating are fine. Skating definitely not an issue

- Shouldn't compare players, but McCarron is in the same mold as Lucic. Compares his development to Tinordi

- When you pick at 25, you can focus more on a need at that position than 3rd.

- That's from Timmins.

So does the Crisp pick mean we are picking McDavid next year?

First we have to ask the league if we can draft him a year to early

I keep forgetting how young he is.

But if we have his enforcer, maybe they will let us.

Timmins getting up there in age eh? Those eye wrinkles are new this year.

Or maybe he's just dead tired.

On the main boards a lot of people are picking Montreal as the winner of the draft, and some Habs fans go there to explain why it's a very bad draft for Montreal, hilarious.

Patrick Kane, Martin St-Louis, Jeff Skinner, Jordan Eberle have all a small frame...

Also Nikita Kucherov played his first game with Rouyn-Noranda 2012-11-23 http://www.lhjmq.qc.ca/roster/gameBy.../ls_season/171

and before that Jean-Sebastian Dea had already 21 goals 19 assists in 23 games
http://www.lhjmq.qc.ca/roster/gameBy.../ls_season/171

so saying hes a product of Kucherov is pretty absurd IMO.

Now I can check out the Habs' haul that seems pretty damn fantastic. Sort of checked out after the Schneider trade.

Lots of people on the prospect board put us in the winners bracket for today's draft... yet our board is ******** all over our picks. Makes sense.

The moar size crowd got their players and the smurf crowd got their players, so it just shows that there will always be whiners.

Montreal made the best of the situation. Sure we missed out on snipers like shinkaruk mantha and Hernandez but this could still turn out to be a good draft
