Thanks DG! Sounds about right. I was hopeful that Mashinter could take a 4th line role last year. Hope he comes in and impresses in camp.

D.g. Jim are you happy with Wolfpack roster and will there be free agent vets signed ?
Jim
We are really happy with the kids and expect one or two minor league vets but nothing major.
D.G.
Are the Wolfpack tough enough without a true enforcer ?
Jim
Brandon Mashinter is a legit tough sob. Can play and fight we love him. Could be in NY a lot. Dylan McIlrath is a beast will fight anyone one does lose.
I told him how much I loved that pick and he laughed and said he remembered me defending it last yr at a per season game and laughed and asked where my dagoon jersey was.. He then asked me if I was happy torts was gone to which I said I drove the car to Kennedy he laughed asked if I wanted to meet A.V. I said he'll yea. A.V. Was behind a door Jim introduced me by saying you want this guy on your side lol . A.V. Said he loved NY already and the fans were amazing. He posted signed and talked to anyone who asked...
Next up glen Sather
At end of round 5 slats gets up and starts to leave the draft table so I follow him out to hallway and ask him for a minute of his time.
D.g.
Glen hope your health is going well and your looking great great.
Sather
Umm thanks, where you get them sticks? ( I was holding some game used stick I purchased at a sale tonight. Mallette and Vail. )
I said bought them here . Slats oh ok
D.g.
new coach seems like great fit very personable

Slats
Yea he will fit in nicely that way with press..
Slats then says he needs to go before people flock to him lol ( not many left and no one around )
I look him in the face and tell him I will knock out anyone who bothers him. Slats actually laughs out loud and says walk with me .
D.g
Glen are you trading Clowes rights ?
Slats
We are trying but not working out to well.
D.g,
Strictly a cap move ?
Slats
Hell no he had 3 concussions he is damaged ( wow I am shocked at the honesty ).
Walk him to escalator and say good night..
I went over to NHL tonight set to hang with producers and listen to the non stop phones and texts..
This was most fun I ever had with hockey ..

Pictures to come

OK.

So, I'm getting some PM's asking if I'm chapping on DG. I gotta ask what's up with some of you folks?

I'm sure you got the SARCASM DG, but just in case nice work. Thanks for giving us all the benefit of your hutzpah.

Ricky O - as always - thank you for the info. I am so disappointed in the Adam Tambellini pick. Pu$$Y soft is not what I want to see in a Ranger pick.

You mean like how Derek Stepan was soft and underdeveloped physically when he was picked? My god people, it's the third round of the draft. You know what we call physically and mentally matured players who also have NHL-caliber talent? We call them first rounders.

RightWay - I am going by what Dagoon heard an NHL scout said. Yes, I am disappointed. Is that encouraging to hear that one of the picks is soft?

It's one scouts take....and there may be others who feel the same way. He's 18 and going to a great program. Let's give the kid a little time, yeah?

Pizza - (I also echo Dagoon as I never met a Pizza I didn't like and plan to meet some shortly) , I am merely disappointed when an NHL scout said that. That is all. I know scouts have been wrong.

I was at the draft also, should have hung out with you. I had a good time also but I don't think mine compares to yours. Loved the Buchnevich pick. I had him pegged for us as 1st round talent, Russian factor pick. Looks like a boom or bust pick. I think he will boom. It's already been mentioned in another thread, but when I saw him he reminds me of Cherepanov in style and also in compete issues. He had to some issues, otherwise he would have been picked in the 1st. Great pick for us in the 3rd round. Hey Dagoon44, next time I'll hang with you. Thanks for the draft moments, waiting for your pictures.

Once again. IT'S THE THIRD ROUND OF THE DRAFT. If a player isn't soft, then he's slow. If he isn't slow, then he lacks hockey IQ. If a player doesn't have any of these faults, then he's not dropping to the Rangers in the 3rd round.

TheRightWay - no pun intended, but what is "the right way" to react? Your comment in all CAPS means I may have embellished my disappointment.

DG, have you heard anything more about Scuderi? Seems like uber-redundancy if they were to get him on top of Falk and the regulars they already have.
