I would seriously think that Gilbert, Konopka, Rupp, and Seto are gone. I was seriously expecting to see Seto traded at the draft last night. I would **** if we got a legit #2C out of it too.

The hope is that Nino develops into what Setoguchi was supposed to be, a 25-30 goal scorer with a physical edge.

I think hanging your hat on Seto as a 30 goal scorer is like hanging on to Clutterbuck as a 20 goal scorer. It happened once, but the averages are a lot lower.

Clutterbuck has scored 11, 13, 19, 15, and 7 (on pace) goals. Setoguchi has scored 31, 20, 22, 19, and 22 (on pace) goals.

If the salary cap weren't an issue, I'd love to hang on to Seto and cash in on a contract year. Hell, I'd love to hang on to Seto and Heatley and Cullen and Bouchard and bring up Granlund and Nino and roll four scoring lines. But with the cap you have to pick your spots.
