Having him on LTIR to start the season (and indefinitely into the season) could be a blessing honestly...we've used that a lot.

Interesting to note, that Booth has one 30 goal, 60 point season (31G, 60 PTS) which is exactly how many Burrows has (35G, 67 PTS)...unfortunately for Booth, he doesn't have another 41 or better point season...Burrows actually doesn't have another 53 or better season...so both their great seasons can be considered serious outliers at this point.

Who were Booths line mates in this season?

Booth-Weiss-Horton was the line on his 08/09 31-29-60 season.

Interestingly his 10/11 season, which is really his only other full season, he scored 23-17-40 (-31!) with Mike Santorelli (who?) as his centre and either Rostislav Olesz, Evgeny Dadonov or Steve Bernier as the other winger. Saw very little time with Weiss that year.

Possibly, but either way I don't think he was ever a buyout candidate.

It wouldn't be a big deal from his financial perspective anyway. He'd get just under $6.2M instead of $9.25M owing. If he got a $1.5M deal over the next two years, which he would easily get, he breaks even.

Had a couple wines and may have lost judgement

But I like the look of that line a lot.

He actually spent less than half of his ES ice time that season with Horton and/or Weiss. His most common linemate that year was Richard Zednik.

Huh, there you go. Leftwinglock doesn't go back that far, so I was relying on old puck daddy articles for that.

Booths line can be

Booth-Kesler-Kassian/Burrows

EDIT: Maybe Hansen and drop Kassian to the third.

I think if Booth and Kesler are gonna be linemates they should play with Burrows since those two are both puck hogs and Burrows is one of the most effective "away from the puck" players in the league. Throw Kassian with the twins.

We better start off training camp this year with some explosive skating drills. What could possibly go wrong?!

As long as the ice is soft, I can't see a problem.

Good to hear that Booth will be ready for camp. Very excited to see what he can do this year if he is healthy

Sign Horton and we got this.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Horton
Higgins-Guance-Hansen (Schroeder)
Sestito-Lain-Weise

Where are the Canucks getting $6 million in cap space to sign Horton? We can't afford any big name FA this summer. If we are adding a top 6 player it will be through trade with one of our NTC-having defencemen.

What you got is a serious cap circumvention.
