Not sure, someone on the Oilers board actually had a chart for this but I don't remember where or what thread.

4 years at 4-4.5 isn't bad. I think the Flyers want to put him on the wing too. He comes here he would be on a line with G.

Vinny-Giroux-Voracek
Hartnell-Schenn-Simmonds
xxxx-Couts-Read
Talbot-Laughton-Rinaldo
Rosie.

Thomas
Mason

On this team we don't have defense.

I don't even think he ripped Obama at least not publicly. He just didn't attend the White House and then posted an explanation as to why he didn't go on Facebook but I don't think the explanation had ill-will in it or at least anything really out of line.

Nah I think if they commit to Vinny at 4 years, Schenn will be making the move to winger for good. Vinny doesn't look good on the wing.

Hell I don't even think he's ever played wing. He's a natural center.

People are misunderstanding the issue with Thomas.

It was never that his politics were particularly objectionable. It was (to critics) that he elevated himself above the team by using politics.

Boston(from an article I read earlier) asked him if he wouldn't mind moving to wing and he is open to it. Keep the kids at their natural position and let the veteran make the move.

Vinny is a 54% face off center, not a wing.

This.

We just got rid of one goalie with a plethora of off-ice distractions. No need to add another.

Yeah I'd rather have Vinny at center. This team struggles with faceoffs and having 2 centers in our top 6 who can win them will help a lot.

4 years at 4m? Sign me up for that. Move Schenn to the wing permanently. If he can't perform on wing, then you need to explore other options long term.

What I don't like about this is that it relegates Couturier to the 3C spot for the foreseeable future with no chance of battling out of it. Not sure how I feel about that. Although I suppose with age maybe him and Vinny would flip flop in two years time.

Hartnell-Giroux-Schenn
Simmonds-Lecavalier-Voracek
Read-Couturier-Raymond
Talbot-Hall-Rinaldo

Lots of size, speed, and skill.

There's a big need, actually. Bryz's problems were about stopping pucks, which is something that Thomas is great at.

I have to think Homer got mixed up when he drafted Ghoul, it's the only explanation

Timmy T and old man Snider share a similar political ideology and World view. Comcast just bought out Bryz for 22 million, if anyone thinks Thomas would be thrown to the Wolves is sadly mistaken. The entire Media scrum would be replaced (an easily and inexpensive feat) before Snider allows them to divide his locker room again.

Tangents about the downfall of print media aside, the Flyers beat writers are a joke and do little to sell newspapers.

A Thomas/Mason Tandem would and will be awesome.

I don't think it his stance on politics "right/left/center" I think its more of Tim p, Sam, and Frank going "Hey Claude, Tim thinks A on this issue what about you."

Listen if it's for one year and reasonable I'm all for it but I know this media is licking it's lips for drama.

If we get ****ing Lecavalier I will stop rooting for this team. It will just show that they have no confidence in Couturier and it will just be another Jordan Staal situation. Stay the **** away for once jesus Christ..

Giroux
Couturier
Laughton

Those should be our centers starting after next season, **** Vinny, he's also a giant ****** bag.

I don't necessarily agree. He's 33 years old, and he will certainly be declining further. If he's given a four year contract, he will probably have one or two years of second line duties before he flips with Couturier and takes the third line spot.

A veteran, 35 year old Lecavalier would be a perfect 3C especially at a $4.5m cap hit. By then, Couturier's offensive game will have come around and he'll pick up the reigns on the second line. Let him ease into the role. No need to feed him to the wolves just because we want to see him break out ASAP.
