Yep. It's all but certain Dupuis will walk in free agency at this point. There's no better value for a top 6 forward out there than Iggy for the Pens. I don't see a contender that would offer him more money. And none of them have a hole on their #1C's RW.

You're not taking variables into account. LA may not be done dealing, and Mitchell may not be back as well,

I think he goes to a contender with enough cap room to fit him in. I also think he takes less money to do so. He also needs to go where he fits into the system the best, so I think a run and gun system won't do him justice. A slower checking system would be more likely, so he can keep up and utilize his skill set. That would leave me to think Boston, Anaheim or L.A (depending on Mitchell returning).

Yeah I agree, as much as I like Iginla his time is coming up real fast. I much rather see Ryan or Clarkson signed. (Booth would probably have to go but that's alright)

I don't think he likes the Canucks.

If he signs here, I'll be pretty excited though.

Just reminds me of the time my friend trying to hockey-speak called this guy "Inigla". Iginilia will probably end up in Chicago for a huge discount.

If the Kings fail at resigning Scuderi, and they strike out in landing another defensive defenseman, I could see them signing Iginla, but only for about a 3.5-4mil cap hit in order to afford him.

Anyone thinking he will be in LA is a pipe dream. No cap space unless they deal Willliams which would be a mistake.

With Horton leaving, the Bruins could use physical shoot first scoring right winger to play with Krejci and Lucic. Maybe tight with the cap but not out of the question, especially if they buyout Peverley.

Always liked iginla despite never liking the flames. I wouldn't mind him going home to Calgary. Just seems right.

David Booth really screws everything up, which is fitting because that's all he's done since we traded for his injury prone contract.

Iginla beside the twins and Burrows and Kesler back together could actually give us a scary top 6 for the first time in years.

Honestly, I have no idea.

If Boston has the room....that would be hilarious.

Dallas is possible, as is Detroit.

Agree with both of you on this one. He's almost just a PP specialist at this point. He still has a bomb of a shot but the rest of his game is pretty invisible. I don't think he's very physical at all. He doesn't win that many battles. He will occasionally fight but that and the big shot is about all you get these days. No idea where he winds up but it doesn't really matter anyway. He isn't a difference maker anymore. I do hope he wins a Cup before he retires though. He's a great guy. It's almost impossible not to like him.

Dallas hopes to move Benn back to wing and sign or trade for two centers, so that is the first priority. That being said, it's possible we only get one top 6 center and look to bring in a quality veteran like Iginla or Horton. Iginla does have a connection with Dallas owner Tom Gaglardi and consultant Mark Recchi; all three are part owners of Kamloops Blazers IIRC.

IDK Personally I would consider it funny if he signed with Dallas.

He'll probably stay in Pittsburgh though. If not another team likely to compete for the cup next season. I think we can rule out Boston due to the history now. I think there might be an outside chance for NSH. They have cap space and a well coached team that could make a run at the cup as soon as next year.

Shame Ducks have no cap space, I'd love Iggy here.

If Boston signs him I would laugh hysterically then nod my head in approval. He's exactly what we need with Horton departing.

Top 6:

Lucic - Krejci - Iginla
Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin

Would like to see him on the rangers. I am an islanders fan.
What he should do is open up a chain of car washes and dedicate his time to them. Not a hater
I just want to remember him as a very good player not Brian Rolston .

I'd like him in Philly for two years, $3 million AAV but other teams will pay him more than that.

My guess is the Flyers sign him to a 10 year 79 million dollar contract.

One of these is not like the other

I think the Sutter connection will try to do some shuffling to bring him back
