Don't you think you are being silly with this post?

Seguin and Yakupov are pretty easy to make a comparison while you would have to add Yakupov to Horcoff to get Bergeron.

"We'll give you guys Seguin for Yak!"

Don't worry, it was in reference to the one poster.

Is OP originating from Boston? I don't believe so.

I would be scared of the contract the khl might offer him down the line. I'm not saying Yak would leave for the khl but it might increase his contract demands.

Hemsky for Peverley + rights to Nathan Horton? Fills the RW need for Boston, Edmonton gets their 3rd line centre and an attempt at a much needed winger.

No... we need cap relief and even if you take half of Hemsky's contract, that doesn't give us much at all.

I'd do that. Might have to retain some of Hemskys salary though

I think Edmonton might have to retain some salary to get something like that done to Boston.

I am not even sure Boston would go for it but I am pretty sure the Oilers could trade for Horton's rights if they wanted. It would cost less.

Then what would it take? I believe the Oilers have plenty of prospects or prehaps they can take on a bad contract you have.

And judging by Chiarelli's comments, Seguin fits in the same mold as Marchand.

I'm happy to keep Sguin. He needs to grow up some, but he was one of our best players in the Finals.

I'd push hard for boychuk but doubt he's available. Peverley would fit in Edmonton, if they need to shed some salary and only want picks/prospects in return.

Not sure oilers have much that would interest Boston though.

I am guessing that draft picks would interest the Bruins. But I don't think they would be interested in moving Boychuk.

I was being sarcastic. Oilers would never do Yakupov for Seguin right now just like bruins wouldn't do Horcoff for Bergeron.

Stop insulting Boston and Seguin. You cant put him in a comparison with Horcoff like that. Horcoff and Bergeron are light years apart while Seguin and Yak are a lot more comparable.

Ya, only way I could have seen boychuk dealt is if they brought Horton back at 6 million or so, rask got big money and Bergeron got a big extension.

Even then, I'm sure they'd find other guys to move instead.

Dare to dream I guess...

What's with all the negativity coming from other Oilers fans? I think this deal is a classic case of both teams saying "thanks, but no thanks." Can't we accept that and get along? Especially considering how nicely Oilers and Bruins fans have played on Peverley/Boychuk talks lately

Bruin fans can dream all they want. They are not getting Yakupov. That celebration was NOT selfish. I guess Bruin fans thought Fleury was selfish back 20 yrs a go?

Most Bruins fans could care less how Yakupov celebrates his goals, most Bruins fans don't dream about getting Yakupov, and most Bruins fans don't care what Fleury did 20 years ago, and most Bruins fans don't want to trade Seguin for Yakupov.

A Bruins fan didn't start this thread and Bruins fans don't think that the Oilers would want to make this trade either, but you can go ahead and generalize us all into a nice little group and we will just think that you are ignorant and not the entire Oilers fanbase.

I don't think they would deal Boychuk at all, it comes down to the fact that if they moved Boychuk they would be going into the coming season with 4 out of 7 D being rookies. I really don't see them even considering that even though the rookies played fantastic in the playoffs. None of them can fill Boychuk's spot as a top pairing guy who will play almost as many minutes as Chara.

Even if they signed Horton or someone with a similar salary I think it is more likely that they move a forward and replace him with a rookie to make the cap space.
