Dude was a stud. I'll never forget his performances against the Canucks. Great memories.

My favorite player. I'm confident Toronto wouldn't have had that epic biff in game 7 if Bolland was on the ice.

I met him three times. He was always kind and nice as could be.

He did take some stupid penalties, got hurt quite a bit, and didn't score enough for the money, but he was a little pest that came up clutch more than most for this franchise. I'll always be grateful for his time here and will remember his tenure in Chicago fondly. I would also never close the door on a return if the right situation emerged. However, for now, I wish him the best of luck in his home city playing for the team he (probably) grew up cheering for.

Of all the cup winners that were shipped off, will miss Bolland the most. He was a warrior and gave it his all. Wish that injuries dont hold him back in the future.

OT I am not entirely pleased with how the day unfolded for the Hawks. Hope I am wrong though.

Bolland has been one of my favorite players since he got here.

I loved his game, grittiness, mentality. Guy was a WARRIOR! Played better in the biggest games and moments and would do anything to help his team win.

I will miss him and he will always hold a special place in Hawks history.

A really good stat to show his importance and clutchness, in the last 5 years, he has a higher playoff winning % then any other player in the NHL.

My sentiments exactly. Owner of his sweater and will always wear it with pride. One of my favorite Hawks.

Bolland was choked with emotion talking about leaving Chicago.

Definitely going out with as much class as he possibly can. You kind of expect he will be back, whether it's at the end of his career or his post-playing days.

He'll have a bounce back year in Toronto next year and I hope to see him flourish in the big smoke.

Chicago traded away a warrior today. As much as I understand the reasoning for it, the fact remains, that Chicago traded away a heart-and-soul guy. He'll be missed.

Thanks for the memories Bolland. You'll go down as one of my favourite Hawks all-time.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Bolland was always a class act while here. He played the role of agitator to a T. Thankfully, we do have agitators like Shaw to take his place. I'll miss him, but I fully understand how the cap works.

At least he was traded to his hometown...I'm sure that, while he loved it here, he's glad he's going back home.

he had his moments... moments Hawks fans will never forget. That SH goal(s) against the Nucks, the Thornton slash and the GWG goal in game 6

The more I think about it the more pissed I get. This guy was a core member of this team. Was instrumental in the Hawks winning both Cups. The only other players you can say that about are Keith, Seabs, Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, Hammer, don't see us trading any of them. That's the class he is apart of.

Love him, will always love him, even when he is back here slashing Toews in the back of the legs and getting him sent to the box for retaliating and laughing at the Hawks bench as he skates by.

Go win a Cup in Toroto Bolland.
