Montreal very interested in Pascal Dupuis

http://triblive.com/mobile/4280155-9...penguins-cooke

"Montreal is a strong contender to land Dupuis if he leaves the Penguins. Coach Michel Therrien is a fan of Dupuis dating to their days together with the Penguins.

The Canadiens have Dupuis high on their list of free-agent targets. Dupuis is French Canadian."

**** off, Therrien.

Fire this idiot already.

Dupuis sucks without Malkin and Crosby centering this piece of garbage.

Great work ethic, French Canadian, good two-way player, lots of character, knows the coach, decent size.

Old, not an offensive catalyst.

Would love to have Dupuis but he is probably looking for big money. I'd give him 3 years x 3 million but he could get more on the market.

On any other NHL team (i.e. not on Crosby's line) he's a great 3rd liner / decent 2nd liner. I'd definitely take him at the right term/price which to me is 3 yrs X 3.25M. Will fetch much more than that due to stats being inflated by Crosby.

The guy can score and play a two way game, but at 34 years old I wouldn't be too fond of a contract over 2-3 years.

Wow I can't believe so many people are against this. Great defensive forward who can put up a few points.

you guys get pissed at everything lol

for the right money & years, its a fine signing.

Guy works hard. Not everyone can play with crosby and malkin, sorry. You have to be able to have the offensive insticts and foot speed to keep up with them.

Granted his numbers were high, but good for him, he took advantage.

Im not oppsed to having french canadians on the team. We have 2 and 1 is our 5-6th d-man and the other is being run out of town.

Good player but he's 34-years-old. No more than a 2-year term for me.

$ 7M/2 years?

I'd be okay with him in a third line role.

Depends on cap hit and term. Crosby made even Colby Armstrong have 40 points in 47 games in the NHL.

If he was willing to take under 3 million, then wouldn't Pittsburgh just re-sign him?

Prust should be top 9 imo and Dupuis should be on Pleky's wing as our shutdown trio.
