Pavel Buchnevich just showed he can stickhandle well in a tight area. Very calm with the puck.
Good sign that he is there.

Pretty sure the comparison was to Samuel Noreau, not Mac.

He should stay another couple of years at least.

Both Brady Skjei and Boo Nieves said they gained about 10 pounds after one college season. The good kind of college weight gain.
That's very good news for both. Nieves especially.

this is a great sign.. i just wonder why he was not at the draft.. that bothers me a little... but i hope he pans out. i noticed that he wore 89... maybe a fan of Mogilny... maybe same type of player... anyone have more info on him... im loving this pick more and more... Rangers finally might have drafted their own 1st line sniper if all falls into place

I can't remember where I read it, some other team's draft thread I think, but I read that he, Dallas' first round Russian and another guy are training in North America all summer. No idea if it's true or not the guy who posted it didn't post the source he just wrote stuff in quote boxes.

Like the sound of Mac laying big hits. If he is ready to make a push towards the NHL squad, he should be head and shoulders above the rest of the kids. There should be no doubt that he is the best player there all week. Lets hope thats how it turns out. Sounds like he was off to a good start.

At least Tambellini was a 3rd round pick not a first round pick like Hugh.

He does have a good mix of height, speed, and skill. Good reach. Have to figure he will fill out a bit over the next couple of years. He's a lanky kid.

Tommy Hughes, another (name escapes me), and Tambellini.

At least going by memory of the updates yesterday.

Think Tambellini is the least intriguing prospect we have. Do not like.

Eh, I like him. Wasn't my favorite pick to make. But the potential is there.

The kid in your avatar has a good amount of upside. I wonder why some of these kids dropped so far. Duclair and Buchnevich have a good amount of skill.

Can't complain with our picks being they were so late.

Really wish we could have moved up to grab a higher potential kid in the second or late first.

I think a quote from Moneyball really applies to the later round picks. They talked about tools and how a 5 tool player is rare(most top 5 picks would be considered 5-tool). Most kids are 1-2 tool players and they look to develop another once in the system.

Seems like thats what we have with these later round guys. They have 1-2 solid tools and the Rangers organization is hoping they can develop another 1 to make these guys NHL caliber players.
