Realistic Ott-TB trade proposal

With the recent trade history of both teams, I would say here is a realistic proposal that makes sense for both teams:

to OTT: B. Connolly
to TB: Weircoch and a 3rd (2014)

OTT gets a cap friendly top 6 winger (potential and young), and TB gets a the puck moving D that they sorely need. Ohlund and Carle are not the answer and Hedman should not be forced into that role.

Thoughts??

We don't need a pmd. Our greatest need is a stay at home Dman. And if we are moving Connolly we will package him with a pick or something else to get a proven top 4.

Dont like Connolly much more if at all compared to the plethora of forward prospects/young nhl guys the Sens already have.

Especially not at the expense of Wiercioch, who took huge strides last season. Before last season I would have likely said yes.

Wouldnt surprise me if he outscores Connolly next season.

Ok, end of discussion... Cowen is not for trade plus we dont need another prospect in our forwards... we need an established Sniper to play on the top 6

Fair enough, you saw where this was going. There is no deal to be mad here. We are the best trading partners with Nashville and Phoenix realistically.

How could you TB ask for a proven top 4 when all Connolly is is potential? Much like Weircoch...

You do not have anyone right now from the backend to lead a pp or an offensive rush (nor anyone fitting that bill on the farm). I am not saying Weircoch is that guy, but his potential to fit that bill is better than anyone you've got in the coffers...You've got Gudas as your shut down guy. Weircoch is 6'4", can skate and shoot, and lead the rush. Had 19 pts last year in the "show".

We are happy to add. But we don't have anyone in the farm that fits the pmd bill? Barberio? Ahl Defenseman of the year 2 years ago? Lead the AHL in points 2 years ago, 6th in points this year. Yeah we have no one in the farm that fits the pmd role.

What a dumb thing to say. Classic HFer who knows nothing about a team, but still acts like they're an expert.

Ottawa doesn't have a need for a forward and we actually semi-rely on Worch right now, so a no from Ott based on team needs. Value wise though - decent.
