Once again, I don't have control over the site layout.

Stupid quirk of mine... but seeing Rodin and Connauton up there bugs me. And now we have some major pieces to add up there too.

It's like that deli around the corner from me that leaves their Easter Ham special advertised on their reader board well into May.

In fairness, the deli around -my- corner is would probably still be *selling* that very same Easter Ham well into May.

Interesting to note, one William Carrier, which a few people were high on, got drafted just after the Canucks 2nd round pick (54th) at 57th overall. Went to the Blues. I think he has a good future ahead of him and did not think he would be there this low in the 2nd.

Many fans are unsure of Cole Cassels...
But I have a good feeling about him.
Andrew Cassels is his dad...
And all reports said that he is a grittier version of him...
With the same playmaking ability.
I think he could turn into a gem.

Yeah all reports saying Cassels will have a larger role this season so hopefully we'll see his numbers go up

Does anyone know which of our other prospects could make their world junior teams other than the 3 canadians

I don't think there's anyone else. Thinking on it, if the team had drafted Severson over Mallet, this year's WJCs would have a huge Canucks influence.

Guys I'm really excited about Penticton this year.

Really interesting line up, with high quality players from every position. Horvat, Shinkaruk, Gaunce, Subban, McEneny, and Ericksson are all guys worth being excited about.

Severson isn't making that team.

Just did a little researching, he wasn't invited to their summer evaluation camp, for what it's worth.

Probably not, but he's got a shot. Which is an endorsement in itself.

Well this is interesting. Looks like Wes Myron was sent a qualifying offer by the K-Wings yesterday.

http://www.kwings.com/newsRelease.ph...ING-OFFERS-736

I suppose they will continue to be our ECHL affiliate? Their website (and press release) still says they're affiliated with the Canucks and Chicago Wolves. Anyone smarter than I care to chime in on what this means, exactly?

Tanev (Full time)
Horvat
Jensen
Kassian (Full time?)
Lack (Full time?)
Shinkaruk
Schroeder (Full time?)
Gaunce
Eriksson
Corrado (Full time?)

We have a pretty awsome top ten young players for not bailing and getting a lottery pick in the recent future. Having Hodgson (or a happy Hodgson) in place of Kassian and having Bourdon (RIP) with some of the other graduates like Bieksa, Burrows, Kesler, Edler, Schneider, Raymond, Hansen and whomever I am missing.

Cassels seems to be that version of Alex Friesen that Alex Friesen will never be.

Besides Tanev and Weise, #Canucks also qualified Jordan Schroeder, Bill Sweatt, Kellan Lain, Anton Rodin, Darren Archibald & Yann Sauve.
**** me, really? wasted contracts. even sweatt is never going to be an nhler but at least hes a decent ahl player.

edit: uh, didn't realize there was a whole thread for this old news. sorry.

Cassels sounds more interesting the more I hear. I like he has a bit of an edge, means could have a bottom 6 upside in the mode of a Peverly/Kelly.

Thnx.

Still probably has an outside shot. Played on their U17 and U18 squads.

Jordan Subban could potentially enter camp to compete for bottom 3 spot if he starts scoring at or close to PPG next season. I could see him as a 7thD/PP specialist
