I know that for a fact because I post stuff on the internet without looking up first!
I play alot of NHL 13 GM Mode, i know my hockey.

Kristo has more points when i simulate a full season, so he is better.

Le Canadien en a eu assez de Danny Kristo. Il l'envoie aux Rangers de New York en retour de Christian Thomas.

He is the son of Steve Thomas and played his only NHL game this year vs the Habs in Mtl, he is a PURE sniper and if you guys think Ryder could shoot, wait for this kid, he can actually skate and pass too! lol

He is one of the players they refused to give up for Rick Nash at the trade deadline a couple of years ago and why the deal happened in the summer. Also was the last cut for team Canada WJ couple years back.
Hopefully by the time he is ready we add a few more big bodies to the core.

Going forward we have a little too many undersized prospects. Gally is with us long term, unless we can deal DD we might be in a hair of trouble.

Thomas is a guy who can snipe, but Kristo may have a lesser shot, but does many more things better.

Today I say we gave up the better player. Tomorrow I could be acting like I never said those words and I've loved Thomas all along.

Whatever. This board always goes into "we can do no wrong" mode when a terrible trade happens. Just like Kaberle couldn't possibly be a bad trade because we got an "asset" for Spacek.

Stats this year in the AHL:

2012-13 Connecticut Whale AHL GP:73 G:19 A:16 PTS: 35

0.5 PPG isn't too bad

i truly believe, Habs saw character issues / lack of development with Kristo - and sather's scouts saw a MacD situation playing out again so jumped at the opportunity. how it pans out? who knows

Focusing on studies? More on getting shabanged and shabanging, in both senses. Was never the sharpest tool in the shed.

No matter who's the GM, it seems like the habs will never get bigger. I dont even care if Thomas is anything special, he just doesn't fill a need.

Don't quite understand this trade. If the Habs really felt the need to rid themselves of Kristo for whatever the reason, why not include him as part of a larger deal to get a better player? I mean, would not a package of Plekanec + Kristo + second draft pick gotten us a better return than simply shipping off Kristo for an AHLer?

I wonder how many people watched kristo look pretty lost in his 9 game stint in hamilton last year.

A four year university student who can't spell "their". Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
