Kristo was another hyped prospect...I heard the same about Chipchura, Avtsin, etc... Not sure thsi deal is as bad as people say. Bigger issue is we went after another small player. Not that big of a deal, but wish we could just go after big guys for the next year or two...yea, we may miss out on some skill but lack of size and nastiness is a huge need.

Jesus you'd think we'd just traded Pleky for Lindsay Lohan based on some of the reactions here

Especially when you consider he was the fourth leading scorer on the team. He finished third in goals, too. All as a rookie.

Connecticut didn't make the playoffs either.

The New York Rangers board is one of the few I've visited often. Rangers fans really liked Thomas.

I won't judge this trade until one or both players become NHLers.

Kristo's attitude seemed to be a problem. I always thought he was too much overhyped by many people here.

The height obsession over here has reached the level of self-parody. It's especially funny considering the Habs just drafted a guy who looks like a football tight end, and it's still not enough.

The same people complaining about Thomas' height would have wanted Kristo traded even if he makes the NHL, for being below 6'.

Pretty stupid trade kristo had some more value then this, why not just get another pick in the draft that just passed

My opinion?

MB looked for the best help he could have for the Dogs. AHL help was what Kristo is and is probably all that Thomas will be.

Christian Thomas really came on at the end of the season in Connecticut, so that's a positive. His points came when the team needed them the most. I think it's a pretty even trade.

Character guys that are 5'9 and don't particularly excel.

Seems about par the course for the past 20 some odd years. Suppose we probably weren't going to get much for Kristo anyways, but whatever.

This management team is already disappointing me.

I can say one thing, Thomas was a great junior player.

Saw him play many times. Game breaker.

Did you call 29 GM's to verify this info?

Pretty happy with this trade. Like Thomas a lot has a great shot. Scored 50 goals in the OHL.

exactly ... and for all we know, Thomas could have been a player the habs really liked and never got to pick.

Well Lohan might actually be a good fighter. I can see jumping on Lucic and goudging his eyes out, then biting Marchand's nose off.

You are under 6'? That's it, we are trading you to the Florida Panthers board for some random we can find on the nearest basketball court.

I did. He did ZERO. I got scared when I realized he might be 25 before he makes the NHL, just two years before UFA status.

Plus, he's pretty much as NHL ready as Danny and younger.

I don't think grammar has any bearing on his hockey career. This trade makes little sense. Gave up on him after 9 AHL games? For a minor league smurf??
