going to be interesting to see how much they spent. Man Philly is all over the place. They throw money around all the time.

Apparently Dreger saying Vinnie signed with the Flyers. When will they learn. Yea lets add to the offense, which is the least of their problems, and not solidify goaltending and defense which is atrocious. So funny.

Gonna have to average 6 goals a game.

Imagine if Pronger was healthy though? That would make a huge difference.

And its a 4 year deal at 5.6 Cap hit according to Lavoie. Much worse than the 5 year. That cap hit crushes them when they have to resign Giroux/Schenn/Couts next year. Thank god for the Flyers bringing comedy relief to the NHL.

Edit: Lavoie saying its back to 5 years now. Point still stands.

Thank you. What makes lucic a good player is that he's tough and can put up points period. Nothing to do with penalties, some guys get a longer leash from the coach staff if the approach to a penakty is strategic in nature and not lazy or stupid.

Not even Sather would do what Holmgren just did. I'm laughing my ass off but at the same time I'm facepalming with a desk.

The PhiLOLdelphia Flyers, ladies and germs. They still can't keep the puck out of their net. They were a Top 10 offense last year and didn't sniff the playoffs.

So they sign a 33 year old declining center.

Philly just needs to sign Thomas to complete the trifecta. Holmgren always does too much. It absolutely amazes me that they just cannot accept the importance of defense; signing an aging offensive defensemen doesn't count!

That Vinny signing is very Sather-esque.

I'm still confused though, I thought free agency opened on July 5th??

I don't think they can officially sign a contract until then. It's more of a "gentleman's agreement".

with the pens signing dupuis deal, in 2014 they'll have 53.25 mil paying 9 player.

9.

that leaves them with at most 19 mil to spend on their remaining on their other 11-14 players.

are they going to be suiting up 8 or 9 rookies?

Wtf? Pittsburgh is going to be in cap hell. Think the Flyers are in bad shape? Lol. Holmgren looks like a cap genius in comparison.
