Aww now I hope they do sign Briere so we can see you fail to hold your promise before training camp is over!

C'mon guys, signing or not signing Briere (or even Lecavalier) are not franchise defining moments. Common sense is in short supply today.

Again, I'm not a guy who is gonna whine about size on this board constantly but there's no way he's that big.

Anyways, I feel like I just watched Marc Bergevin run over my dog or something. Sheesh

It was a bad idea four years ago and it's a worse idea now.

Again, why would we want to build our team with other clubs' rejects?

**** Briere. We once went after him, he went for Phili for barely more. We tried to get Lecave a couple times and got burned each time. We tried again these last days and it didn't work, again.

You know the saying? Bit me once, shame on you. Bite me twice, shame on me. Well what about bite me 3098410934714 times?

**** Briere, he's not the direction we want to take.

Wouldn't mind a cheap deal on the "short" term (3 years or less), but it better be because we have a plan to deal one of our smallish players beforehand.
I agree. I would rather we stick to some sort of plan to fill the needs we have. And I also want a tougher team. At the same time, I do think Briere could add something and I think he could go cheap and short-term.

My guess is that the Sabres will sign him for a second tour of duty now that they've unloaded Roy and Pominville. As for the Habs, I don't want them to ice both Briere and Desharnais.

OK, so the time he passed on us would have been one bite. The other 3098410934713 times, though. He been nibbling your ear?

Briere is an anti star. He is a puck lurking dwarf. He lurks and grabs snow. Do not want. It wouldn't even be a rockstar move like signing jagr or iginla.

We wanna get bigger? Let's just sign Brière and make a trade to get Christian Thomas!!

Makes sense...

Briere is already slowing down. He's not what the team needs at all.

Why do I have this feeling that Montreal will sign Dupuis or Clarkson to big bucks?

Screw Briere. Even if we sign him, what's he gonna do in our lineup? He's small and not Gallagher like. At the right price, he has a place in the NHL, but not on this team.

I'm not convinced Briere is better than Desharnais anymore, any he's much less likeable too.

I really doubt we are signing Briere. As for Thomas, I don't think Kristo was the hulk either.

I'm only OK with this if we sign Derek Roy too. Reunite Roy and Briere please.

Like it or not, he's a playoff beast and a clutch player. That being said, I don't think he fits well with the Habs.
