He might actually be a worthwhile addition for the Bruins. I think he would go cheap and short-term, too.

And he's gotten progressively worse since then.

I would sign Briere and trade Gionta if I could, as I would rather have Briere, who at least, is a proven clutch scorer. When healthy, what Gionta is not anymore by the way, Briere is a much better player than Gionta.

That being said, it's definitely not my first pick. We should be looking to make our lineup bigger and stronger this summer.

If it's true, Bergevin has to be fired.

But don't worry, Briere knows that we already all want his head, he's too girly to dare putting on that jersey. If he has a ounce of common sense left, he won't even think about it.

If they trade Gionta, the goal should not be to replace him Briere. The money can be used to target a player that is a better fit.

It's just not a fit. We should avoid Briere all together.

Briere is both a dirty little player and a guy with an established record of raising his game for the playoffs.

It really wouldn't be that bad if we signed him, providing the money and term isn't too ridiculous.

What on earth is the plan for this team? Interested in Briere? For what? To win now? Is that legitimately where the people in charge see this team? Did they watch the playoffs this year?

Habs plan for next year:

Trade Pacioretty for Chris Kunitz
Swap Bourque with Cammelleri again
Tinordi for Pageau
Blunden for Stephan Gionta
Emelin for Enstrom
Price for Tim Thomas
Eller for Gerbe
Galchenyuk for Yakupov
Dump Subban because who needs a defenceman over 5'10
Sign M-A bergeron
Danny Briere

Dump Blunden,Moen,Drewsike
--

Kunitz-Plekanec-Gallagher
Cammelleri-DD-Gionta
Yakupov-Gerbe-Pageau
Prust-Briere-Gionta

Markov-Diaz
Enstrom-Weber
Bouillon-Bergeron

Thomas
Budaj

Beautiful.

Next year is gonna be anoter bridge season. It takes many years to build a team from drafting and that's the way Bergevin wants to go. We have good defence prospects, but they will be good in 2 or 3 years.

If we sign Briere I'm turning Bruin. well not that drastic I'll just give up I can handle midgets as long as they are not aging and slowing.

Well, this is Lebrun. Nothing wrong with showing interest toward any UFA. The guy has been clutch in the POs. And I don't think he will end up getting a big contract or a long term. But I don't think we will sign him, either.

Stay the **** away from Briere. Nobody is gonna protect him when he's gonna crosscheck a player on the face.

Don't worry guys. 'Showing some interest' means that Bergevin offered a 1 year, 750k two-way deal.
