Eller has some of the best mitts on the team and we're comparing DLR to him? WTF guys.

McCarron is Lucic as well. Post-draft high methinks.

Would like to have some feedback on De La Rose from whoever will go at the Developpement Camp. Could he have more offensive upside than we tought? Maybe playing on the bottom six of his team against man make him more concentrate on his defensive game? Could he turn into a Loui Eriksson type of player (big, solid 60-70 points selke condidate)? What are his weakness ( He must have to get drafted at 34).

From what I have read, the concerns are that while he didn't put up points in his Swedish league scouts were okay with that because he was playing with men and I guess limited time, but they thought when he played against kids his age in international tournaments he would put up more points, and he didn't. Hes seen as having a good set of skills. So what gives ? You know, lots of tools but no tool box.

Maybe playing against man on a Bottom 6 isn't the best thing for his offensive developpement? Maybe he would benefit more with some top 6 duties against kids of his age? I doubt it could happen, but could he play in the OHL next season as a Euro for a competitive team?

Seen a few people compare him to Landeskog, as in a less offensively gifted-Landeskog.

If that's true, I can't complain. I just HOPE he can be a legit top 6 winger.

To be fair, a lot of people didn't see any offensive upside in Eller before he slapped them in the face with 30 points in his last 42 games. I mean even with that there are people who still doubt he's got any offensive ability.

Timmins did say that, just like Landeskog, De La Rose gives it all every shift, so his work ethic is not something we should be scrared of. Being the captain of the U-18 has to mean something in terms of leadership aswell. Who knows how high he would of been picked had he played in the Q or the OHL.

I like what I'm reading, seems like a good guy to take on the second round. He seems to play a very intelligent game with some grit and even some offensive potential.

I like the recent Swede tangent the team is taking, I mean alot of pretty good player are being developed there (they plays a really well adapted game for the actual NHL).

Completely different players. Samuelsson is a poor skater with great hands and a nasty streak whereas DLR is a great skater with poor hands but plays a strong defensive game.

Do you think DLR has some thorns in his game?

My fav pick of the draft. He seems like the most sure shot we drafted this year.

Imagine him in a line with Eller and Collberg in a near future. I love it.

Me too, and that line combination is, indeed, exciting to think about.

Wow are you guys ever exagertaing on De La Rose's hands. Poor hands? Hell no. In the U-20 video you see him deke pretty smoothly. He may not be Galchenyuk, but he's no Colton Orr either.

Someone to get the puck, someone to pass the puck, and someone to shoot the puck. Sounds like a good line.

This will be interesting...he seemed clear on Sunday he was staying with Leksands for this season. And then there's this wrinkle Bobby Mac was hinting at during the broadcast...

I was wondering why Trevor told me to let him know who Windsor took. :-)

Just told me "they will try" to get him to come over next season...'they' being Windsor. :-)
