I predict a win, with us coming through in the end 11-8. We'll be up 4-0 within 10 minutes but Miller will not be pulled because Biron got arrested the night before for drunkenly punching a cop at Chez Paris. And the Sabres can't get their backup cause he's snowed in by a huge blizzard in Rochester. Miller will stay in and a TO will be called, ...
I have a good feeling, this is going be an awesome game. If there is a team who can stop the Sabres, I feel that this is us. We are unpredictable, we have an awesome PK and a good PP and when our players play together (looking at Sammy and Kovy ) we are a solid team.
I'm usually the first person to give Montreal credit as I like how there team plays but I don't see how you can possibly say the Habs are better based on Rosters, Points, Standings, Last year and so far this year.
Wouldnt go that far??
Maybe after tonight you'll think differently about that my dear good sir.
Really looking forward to this game - this can really be a defining game in the Habs' season. If they win, they become the first team to beat an incredibly deep and talented Buffalo team this year. They can essentially step into the upper echelon of teams with a win tonight. At some point you either believe that you can skate with and beat a team like this, or you let them get in your heads and play second fiddle. This is a big character building game.
On the flip side, if you lose... hey, it's Buffalo and their on fire. Throw it away and look ahead to the next game.
That being said, I have a good feeling about the game and believe they will come through. It will be a close game. I'll say 3-2 or 4-3. But I also cannot emphasize enough how critical it will be to minimize Buffalo's PP opportunities. These are momentum killers and Buffalo will make you pay. This could be even more important if Bonk is unable to play tonight. Who would've thought?
Our D, Huet and minimal penalties are the keys to a victory.
Looking for goals from Ryder, Johnson, Markov and Begin.
This should be a real barn burner. I think the Habs can keep up with the Sabres. I really like our PK and our PP has been good also. It is up to our D, our goalie and our overall play in our own end. I believe we'll be fine. I just hope we don't go to another shootout. The Sabres have too many snipers.
If somebody was called up from Hamilton, wouldn't we know by now?
It's a little weird to think the Habs will start without Bonk and have no replacement (Downey being out as well). We can't even dress 7 D-men with the injuries we have!
Let's hope Kosty is secretely practicing with the team this afternoon
