Whatever happened to making gameday threads on gameday?

only on the habs board is there a competition to make GDTs first

I vaguely remember somebody crying over the fact that he/she didn't get to make a GDT last season.....

I have a good feeling about this one. No doubt, the Sabres are strong, but we should have beat them in Buffalo.

The Habs should win this game, especially if their PP continues to produce like mad.

On RDS.ca:

"C’est d’ailleurs Cristobal Huet qui aura la tâche de freiner l’attaque la plus dévastatrice de la Ligue nationale."

Buffalo is a very dangerous team! That being said, The Law of Averages will come into play tonight and the Habs will prevail! They have to lose sometime, so it may aswell be against the Habs.

GO HABS!!! Lats will get his first tonight!!!

I have a good feeling, this is going be an awesome game. If there is a team who can stop the Sabres, I feel that this is us. We are unpredictable, we have an awesome PK and a good PP and when our players play together (looking at Sammy and Kovy ) we are a solid team.

Go Habs Go

4-3 Habs

Higgins
Perez
Johnson
Kovalev

Afinogenov (3)

I Fear Afino very badly. I really hate him because he is so good against the Habs

Don't say such things. Huet as all to prove and this is the kind of pressure he wants. This game might place him in front of Abby

Wouldnt go that far??

Maybe after tonight you'll think differently about that my dear good sir.

Buffalo is the best team in the league right now but I think tonight is the night they suffer their first loss. I'll go with a 4-3 final with the Habs barely hanging on in the last seconds.

Perezhogin (2), Ryder and Markov for the Habs and Vanek(2), Briere for the Sabres.

Really looking forward to this game - this can really be a defining game in the Habs' season. If they win, they become the first team to beat an incredibly deep and talented Buffalo team this year. They can essentially step into the upper echelon of teams with a win tonight. At some point you either believe that you can skate with and beat a team like this, or you let them get in your heads and play second fiddle. This is a big character building game.

On the flip side, if you lose... hey, it's Buffalo and their on fire. Throw it away and look ahead to the next game.

That being said, I have a good feeling about the game and believe they will come through. It will be a close game. I'll say 3-2 or 4-3. But I also cannot emphasize enough how critical it will be to minimize Buffalo's PP opportunities. These are momentum killers and Buffalo will make you pay. This could be even more important if Bonk is unable to play tonight. Who would've thought?

Our D, Huet and minimal penalties are the keys to a victory.

Looking for goals from Ryder, Johnson, Markov and Begin.

Go Habs Go

Tonight Buffalo either loses their first game of the season,or we get killied.

It will all depend how Huet starts the game(the first few shots he faces)

This should be a real barn burner. I think the Habs can keep up with the Sabres. I really like our PK and our PP has been good also. It is up to our D, our goalie and our overall play in our own end. I believe we'll be fine. I just hope we don't go to another shootout. The Sabres have too many snipers.

I can't understand some people there... Last year Huet was a GOD... In the off season, everybody was not sure about this season...

He's 1-0-2, so no beaten in regular time and he have played well...

If we look before this season he's not so unproven at all...

02-03: 4-4-1 2.33 .913
03-04: 10-16-10 2.43 .907
05-06: 18-11-0 2.20 .929 ROGER CROZIER TROPHY

This year so far he's not horrible, he've made some of good key save.

GO HUET!
GO HABS!

I'll predict a 5-2 Sabres win tonight. Miller steals the show with some amazing saves.

(I hope I am wrong)

If somebody was called up from Hamilton, wouldn't we know by now?
It's a little weird to think the Habs will start without Bonk and have no replacement (Downey being out as well). We can't even dress 7 D-men with the injuries we have!

Let's hope Kosty is secretely practicing with the team this afternoon
