So it looks like they've got the votes to amend the deal to RSE's liking and then take a final vote on the deal, for which they've got the votes to approve.

What hurdles lay ahead?

GWI? Referendum attempt? Fortress falls through on the funding?

What will take his away from us and pull us back down into hell?

Possibly
Going to happen, I'd imagine
Not likely

RSE could fail to close by posting their end of the bargain, but not likely.

Interesting you'd say 4 and not 7.

It is a done deal. As predicted, the coyotes are staying in AZ. It is over finally....At the end of the day, the Arizona market makes sense....

Bit of an anti-climatic ending but I'll take that end result!!

The Canadian media is hating this - I love it! Now let's win a Stanley Cup.

How long can Ken Jones ice this? He doesn't even have to really try to gather the signatures, does he? Can't he just file to have it referred and then go home to sip lemonade in the air conditioning? How long does he get, again? A month? Can't he kill this?

Looks like I'll be making my annual trip to Glendale to see the Coyotes play my Islanders.
I'll be spending money on my hotel, eating out a few nights and grabbing a few beers at Westgate before the game.

I guess you'll be getting some of my money and plenty of other out of towners like myself.
If the Coyotes had left, I would have spent my money in San Jose seeing the Sharks-Islanders.

Good luck Yotes (except when you play the Islanders!).

It only takes four. It could be a resolution to donate all city buildings to Scottsdale, and it could pass with four votes. Not a great way to do business but whatever.

Well, we do have to admit that Glendale has a very high chance of being utterly ****ed. However, I really don't care about Glendale, I just want my Coyotes in AZ.

Congrats Coyotes fans! To say you've had a tumultuous couple of years is an understatement. Enjoy this moment...you deserve it. Best of luck to you all in the future!

One request to MODs: Can we please keep an ownership thread or Glendale financial thread or whatever you want to call it open so a few people can continue to trash the ownership for 5 years in hopes then will eventually be right? I just don't want to read how every loss or bad decision is because ownership is tanking to move the team. I predict that horse will be beaten continuously starting now.

That being said....

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So...any guess's as to what the next hurdle will be? I can't possibly believe this is actually it. There HAS to be something that will come up.

I am glad for you that you get to keep your team having gone through two of my teams go through relocation (The Montreal Expos and Seattle Supersonics). I'm not happy for the citizens of Glendale that this has been voted yes, but I am happy for Yotes fans that you get to keep your team.

How do you feel about the Arizona Coyotes name? To me, it should have been done years ago and to do it now is to me redundant.

I think it's closing. The rest is ancillary.

I'm glad that you guys are staying and hopefully things might go back to normal finally. Here's hoping games with my division rivals (Ducks fan) will continue.

Grats to you guys. Hope for everybody's sake that your new ownership turns things around and that Glendale's budget doesn't get wrecked.

Again, just like I said to ZZ, I never questioned the content, just the way it was layed out. Nothing is for certain and I hate when people act like it is. Glendale may be the one laughing in five years, but it is going to take a lot of work.
