Will be interesting to see if Halifax can convince young Ehlers to abandon NLA.

I have said it before and ill say it again.. This kid will go in the top 15-20 in 2014!

Haha oh yeah.. That's right.. Side by side all the fraking time even in mockdrafts I was hoping they could play together though But maybe they are too similar for that.

They must have convinced him.. It reminds me of Oliver Bjorkstrand and Portland last year.. He signed a new contract with his team in Denmark and said he would not be moving, but Portland has pull, and so does Halifax..

What can people tell me bout Bukarts? He a goal scorer? Playmaker? He's going to be going to a team that is young but should be pretty good this year in Brandon.

Halifax GM's comment alluded to having done their homework and soken to a lot of people. While that's no guarantee, I hope it mean they didn't pass on another talent without some indication of willingness to eventuially come play here.

Was thinking the same thing, but if Halifax has anywhere near the same pull as Portland, he will come this year for sure..

Oliver had really set his mind to a NO! But then all of a sudden changed his mind after talking to Portland.

Have a hard time thinking he'll be leaving a pro contract in Sweden in the season where the WJC will be in his hometown.

Washington will really have to put in a lot of effort to talk him into maybe coming over.

Jacob De La Rose taken by Windsor. I seem to remember watching him at the WJC last year?

Well, i spoke to him a month ago and then he said he would stay in Biel whatever comes. But if you get the opportunity to play in Halifax, who knows? But at the end i still think he will stay in Biel for a last season.

Timo Meier is the first German taken isn't he?

Edit: Turns out he's Swiss. My mistake!

More of a playmaker than a pure goal scorer, really good hockey IQ,sees the ice well, good puckhandling skills those are the positive things i can tell you the negative- sometimes seems to be unmotivated and even lazy.
