That's it! Might as well not even try anymore, everyone! I'll have the admins close HF Preds down since the team shouldn't try to even sign any players, so there's no sense in having discussion

Seriously, though, step back from the ledge just a bit. At this point a strong breeze might make you slip you're so close.

It looks like Horton may be taking a look at Columbus. You know, another market free agents have no desire to go to.

San Jose and Nashville? What do you judge it by? Avarege temp?

That is wrong way to go... San Jose stays pretty much the same though the whole year while Nashville winter summer ...
San Jose is way favorable climate the Nashville.
As far is it goes I consider California climate is the best in US.

Yes Arizona is way to hot summer time but winter is perfect with dry air.

About desert: there is ice desert and cold deserts around the world too... Desert doesn't automatically means hot.

Real warmer climate like Florida, Arizona or California.
So many things to argue over and so little time.

Warmer and warmest are not the same thing... and his visit today appears to be with Columbus..... Which is warmer than Boston but not as warm as Nashville which is not as warm as SoCal which is not as warm as Tampa which is not as warm as (Miami) Florida which is not as warm as Arizona.

I didn't read anywhere that it was rumored that he and his wife wanted the hottest ***** city in the league- could you post a link?

Back on topic: I would be ok with Horton but definitey not a big fan and not Jonesing for him. For the amount of cash and term, I'd rather try to get two "lesser" players that could contribute to the top 9, even if it took a year.

Going by your criteria of what is a warmer climate, only LA, Anaheim, Florida, Tampa or Phoenix qualify.

Dallas would be boarderline at they actually change seasons too.
And that is correct! We will see him in one of Floridas team.

Well, that settles it. I didn't realize that you decided what climate everyone everywhere will prefer.

You can golf 12 months a year in Nashville, and don't have to walk around in a sauna for 8 months, so many people seeking a warmer climate might prefer Nashville to Florida.

I think too much is being read into the climate thing. It isn't all about climate. It is about quality of life. I'm sure they want to live in a place that has nice weather, but they also want to live in a place where they can be a somewhat normal family. Here they can go grocery shopping or out to eat or to a movie or whatever without being hounded. The same can probably be said about a lot of smaller markets. So while the climate discussion is enthralling, really, I think we are focusing entirely too much on one factor out of several.

WE talked to Vinny.

Poile's not a media ***** though, he's not going to announce every time he talks to someone.

Besides, we all know Poile's waiting on them to call.

I said I consider Cali the best. I didn't say it is the best.

Everyone likes different stuff. But if Nashville so perfect for living condittions and climate wise as you describe, what the hell is the problem? To much country music?

There is no "problem" with our city, it's been voted one of the best in the US. It's just not a hockey market.

Who says there's a problem?

We've signed FA's before. We'll sign them again.

We're as successful as anyone in keeping our own players.

If there is an issue with Nashville this offseason, it's that I think alot of players don't see us as legit cup threats. Players usually don't flock to sign with teams that are seen as rebuilding.

What would it take from the Oilers to get Colin Wilson?

Gagner + 2014 1st?

What is with Oilers fans wanting to dump Gagner on us lately? We really don't need him.

The Preds are going away from the conventional 2W 1C 2D system to either a 2F 3D or 1F 4D system, so how about Darnell Nurse + 2014 1st and 3rd?

I support the " 2F 3D or 1F 4D" systems. Mix it up like soccer.

He's a pretty good offensive player which is perceived to be your guys' #1 need.
