Remember this is a 13 step process and we have been at step 11 before, we just can't quite get to the final two steps.

I'm going to do my part to recruit new fans. I have ST but with three of us in the family playing hockey, it's inevitable that I won't be able to use some tickets. I will try to sell the ones that are in high demand, but if I'm stuck with any, I'll be offering them to my students in the hopes of getting them hooked.

Nope not a Native, but been here 43 years and counting. But this is the coldest place I've lived (also the dam hottest). Prior to Az lived in SoCal and Florida till my Dad retired from the Navy.

Sometimes it is colder in the arena than normal, I swear they mix it up sometimes just to get people to buy coats and jersey's. I know I've spent higher than market value on quite a few things in there, chili cheese dogs with jalapenos only brings the heat for a little while.

Go Coyotes

LeBlanc was on 620 and said that the payroll would be around $55 million this year.

I really liked his interview. He was refreshingly honest and direct and took every one of Gambos tough questions. It was not a softball interview by any means. He essentially got grilled and handled it well.

He said payroll would be around 55 million but would increase subsequently every year.

Again, I think it's time we do our part. The team is here, it's up to us to make sure they stay. That not only includes you showing up but recruiting as well. Yes, you need to think of yourself as a college football head coach and recruit fans to the team. Take people to the game when you can. Talk about the experience of going. Buy people Coyotes paraphanelia as gifts and say "you'll need this when you go to the game" Tell sports bars to start showing Coyotes games. Organize Coyotes events at sports bars.

And it all honesty, that's all we need. Just that 10% bump. Smith's raise complicates things a little bit, but we can make this work.

The thing that sucks is free agency starts on Friday…they won’t be (if they even do) taking the reins over for a few weeks. Granted GMDM is a magician at finding gems in the market, but top tier FA’s would most likely be gone.

Still can’t believe the contract they gave Smith. GMDM does great at most signings; this one was not really his MO. Hopefully Smith will prove me wrong!

Thank you, I mean that sincerely.

However, there are one or two of your compatriots who have been somewhat less civil. Questioning our right to exist and what-not. In fact less than 15 minutes ago I got an FB response from a Canadian former beer league teammate of mine who says we "have a really good team ...just no fans and have been a strain on the rest of the league for years". And that's one of the nicer comments. That gets to you after a while.

When you take people to the games they will see how exciting it is. Just line the old Carolina Hurricanes' slogan "You'll Know When You Go"!

Hey all! Coyotes fan for 4 years and reader of the boards for a couple of years. Hockey is the only sport that's ever caught and kept my interest so I'm really excited the team has at least another 5 years here.

I think there are a lot of fans like me who are new to the sport and excited about the team but have been waiting for this to be resolved to really invest in a team on the brink of moving year after year. I've been to quite a few games but now with the ownership resolved season tickets are easier to justify for us fans still learning the game.

We have never been here before, not even close. The chances of this not closing are very remote. We will see if it works in the next few years, I think it will.

Before I give my response to the latest events I have something to get off my chest as it relates to the ownership mess. After speaking to others with regards to other Coyotes Fans making xenophoebic remarks in someway shape of form during the recent events it's time once again for someone to have to say: KNOCK IT OFF!! The comments are outright stupid, embarrassing, and makes all Coyotes Fans look bad. For those who made such remarks in retaliation; 2 wrongs don't make a right.

While I do love comments that show support it's crap like this that is not needed and is just egging on others to make such remarks in the future.

Just spoke to Paul Giblin of AZ Central on the phone. He has been covering the Coyotes ownership.
He wants Coyote fans to call him to hear if you are willing to pay for parking, ticket surcharge.
He is taking calls now at 602-444-6912 and wants to hear from you.

If they do start charging for parking this will be my last year as a STH, 175 miles day for weekday games and 115 miles on weekends is costly enough. This is Az to much open space to pay for parking!

They have to start charging for parking, as they owe Glendale a portion of that revenue. Probably $10 minimum. With the surcharge and parking, total cost to attend a game has jumped a bit. Sort of a backdoor ticket price raise. But you guys wanted the team to stay, so it's time to pony up.
