I forgot he existed, until I saw game highlights from the Red Wings- Oilers game.
Datsyuk took him to school.

As opposed to 14 goals in 8 Tjarnqvist shifts. I think we're better off without him.

Seriously, if Oiler fans are happy with him, then I'm happy for them. And him. He seemed like a really decent guy. Just not very good at defensemaning. I agree, he's very smart with the puck - except when he's not. And if the Edmonton folks haven't had a chance to see that yet, they just need to be patient. They'll see what we're talking about.

I'm still mad we didn't re-sign Tjarnqvist.

Yeah, he has certainly proved that he can play in this league. I would have liked to seen a guy like him on the squad in Year Two.

I wonder how our other defense defections are doing? Anybody know if Kuba and Zuze are getting good grades so far?

Tjarny has played amazingly well in Edmonton's system.. he's a big reason why the Oilers have allowed the fewest goals in the league (along with Dallas/Minny)

If that's true, then I really am glad to hear it. Like I said, he really seemed like a very decent and likable guy. He just was prone to some incredible mental lapses playing in Lemaire's system, and it got to where you closed your eyes and crossed your fingers every time he touched the puck in the defensive zone. But if he's doing well in Edmonton, more power to him. And good for you guys if you think you've got a good pickup here. It's nice when these things work out that way.

The fact that Minny is 7-1 says it all

Well, to be fair to Tjarnquist, he was very solid later in the season. After being horrible early in the season. If he has found his groove in Edmonton- good for him, but I don't miss him one bit.

Yeah I concur with your statement here. At the beginning of last year anytime he was around the puck I would cringe, and curse at him. But after he got the gold I was ok with his play. But I do not miss him at all. I am glad he is doing well in Edmonton.

Thank you Minnesota, both Tjarnquist and Rollie look good in Oiler uniforms. Congrats on the great start. Looking forward to 8 Fernandez vs Rollie showdowns this year.
