Army Interview

Discussing salary ranges regarding Petro and Ryan Miller - "We're comfortable we're gonna get these guys in the range that we have budgeted."

http://downloads.blues.nhl.com/audio...ong_130703.mp3

Sounds like barring a crazy offer from someone, Ryan Miller will be in camp.

Thoughts?

I can't download the attachment for some reason, but...what?

Do you have Ryan Miller confused with Jake Allen? It would really help if I could just listen to the interview, but the other parts of your post are incredibly misleading, haha.

Good interview, even if the quality isn't great because it is a conference call.

Just to clear up what you've said in your post, Armstrong said he is comfortable that we'll get Pietrangelo and Stewart signed within the ranges we have budgeted. The Ryan Miller that he refers to is a member of our front office (can't remember his exact role), and not the goalie.

Well that's...needlessly confusing, ha. We expect Ryan Miller, the member of our front office, to be in camp barring a crazy offer from someone? Hey, this Miller dude may be good at his job, but I say we take an offer. And yes, I'm being sarcastic. I'll give props to DeuceNine for posting the link, but that has to be one of the most confusing posts ever on this forum.

Hmmm. I apparently hit the nail on the head about MacInnis's role in free agency. Not surprised at all. Seems like Army is worried about the feelings of the crazy fans that think we can get/need an elite center...Which is something that people on this site DON'T believe, thank goodness.

Cross our fingers right?

It's actually hilarious at the people you see on Facebook every time the Blues post some sort of news. Makes me glad that there are level headed people here.

Great point. It is truly painful to read those comments on their Facebook, which I why I pretty much never do it anymore.

The Blues could post some meaningless news that is expected like:

"Blues would like to wish Bert Godin a happy birthday!"

Idiots reply with: "NOBODY CARES! GET A SCORER ALREADY! Perron and a 3rd easily gets you Crosby, yet Armstrong continues to do nothing. **** this team."

I don't consider myself to be crazy and I also do not think we can get an elite center...However I do think this team needs either an upgrade at center or a goal scorer...this might not be the best offseason to do it with AP still in the air...But this team needs to find more scoring for the playoffs.

It's going to be tough to keep Miller when guys like Tim Thomas can get stolen away. Of course I'm referring to Armstrongs hired capologist Tim Thomas who was lured away by Philly

I've tried listening to it twice, and I still can't find him talking about Miller, lol. Can someone point out the time?

The Ryan Miller being talked about is the teams "caplogists" according to JR in his article on stltoday.

NOT RYAN MILLER FROM BUFFALO!
