He'll run the import draft for RIM then leave.

Because they can't stop him? He can leave whenever he wants after each season. His current contract will be over after the import draft.

He never wanted to move his family from Quebec City. He was GM of the Oceanic while still living in Quebec.

As a Rimouski fan I am devastated by this news - Boucher did a fantastic job

I understand well.

However, I read on Twitter some people commenting how he's leaving the Oceanic for the same job in Quebec. If he enps up being head-coach/GM in Quebec, it isn't the same as being only a GM for Rimouski. He'll get more exposure just by being a head coach. Also, he supposedly really likes teaching to young players. In Quebec, he'll be able to do that while being close to his family.

I can see why people in Rimouski are angered by this move but you can't blame him for seizing the opportunity when it comes.

I don't know yet as far as coaching goes, but he sure is a hell of a pick as GM
