Cash hit would be 6m, 5m, 4.5m if claimed.

He really should be dancing in the streets if he isn't claimed. He gets 1.7m for the next forever number of years and then signs a new contract that probably nets him more each year for the next three years AND gets to pick where he wants to play.

Not sure why Poile wouldn't have tried to do a Grabs for Gill trade or some other salary dump type trade to get him at a bit of a discount. Or maybe he did.

First yr of the cap is mostly covered by losing SK and Gill. Rest of the yrs should be covered by the expected increase in cap

With FLA losing Weiss does Grabbo even get past them tomorrow?

Knowing our luck even being 4th on the waiver list we'd lose out and he gets claimed before us. Florida and Tampa already screwed us out of a forward at the draft they'll probably do it again with Grabo. I'm assuming the Avs aren't going to claim yet another center.

We can't win for losing! Looks like DB going elsewhere, no Vinny! No F from the draft and no F from FA...

Lets see Gill AK SK had a decent first season there with 44 points I think it was then went downhill after that I m pretty sure that covers it.

I'm pessimistic. Grabo signs with one of the deep pocket, big market teams. Looks at where Briere went. One of the reasons I was hoping one of the big three offensive dudes would slide to us.

(BTW, that ACE popup is annoying.)

Gill was decent, did what he was brought here to do. SK had great seasons here other then last year. We had him for free basically and signed at a great cap hit. AK was good for the very very very few games he played for the preds, other then the off ice issues.

Sorry dude, just don't see it lol

You ously thought they were good?Gill became an injury and perma scratch and SK is and always was a headcase other than his 44 point first year there what did he do? AK was as useless as **** on a bull same with in Montreal.

@jonasTSN1050: A taste of Grabovski on Carlyle: "Don’t put me on a [expletive] third line and then [expletive] play [me] six minutes in a game."

Congrats on the wedding, you're fired

Grabo hates SK and AK. We hate SK and AK. Seems like a perfect fit.

Edit: Leafs fans claim he is a shoot first, never pass guy. Our team is filled with pass first, never shoot guys. Seems like a perfect fit.

Do the other three teams lower than us need him more than we do?

I don't know

I think he would be a good pickup but that is pretty expensive. They have a better shot going for clarkson and roy. Better production for the price

SK had a 50 point season first year and 43 point season the second year. Decent enough for his cap hit. Good enough for a 20ish goal and 50 point ish winger. Gill was Gill, he wasn't acquired to play first line minutes. He did what he needed to do and was decent at it. AK had a very tiny sample size, but at 0.63 ppg average isn't horrible as you make it seem to be lol. This is the predators, we aren't bless with super high end super forwards but we can get something out of them.

Anyway, this is irrelevant. There all gone from the preds roster.

Well, it's not really in his hands if another team claims him.

Idc what Grabo thinks of Carlyle. He's exactly what we need. Can be an easy first line center immediately. Line of Grabo, FF, and Wilson would be nasty.

The problem though is he doesn't seem to like being told what his role is.
