Considering all of the sky is falling posts we got with the Hannan trade, I like how he played. But come on, give Demers and Irwin a chance to find their game.

If Hannan is used as the #7 as he should with Demers on that bottom pair, that's fine. I want Tennyson playing #1 minutes in the AHL and developing instead of rotting in the pressbox. I think that's a good re-sign as long as the $$ is reasonable and he is being used appropriately...

vlasic/boyle
stuart/braun
hannan/demers

not sure where id slot irwin now...agree that tennyson should play top pair in AHL rather than press box in NHL.

hate that it will probably be a 1 mill deal.

seguin for Eriksson trade rumored by dreger. Why can't we take #19 from Boston?

Actually the trade is done.

I don't think the Sharks particularly want Seguin. But supposing that they did, the price would be pretty high. Pavelski, #1/2 prospect x2, serviceable 3rd liner

are we expecting braun and vlasic to be kept together. i always figured it was something that worked against the teams in the playoffs but not really a long term pairing?

vlasic/boyle
stuart/braun?

or do we expect irwin to stay up with boyle next year?

It'll probably be:

Vlasic - Braun
Stuart - Demers
Irwin - Boyle
Hannan

Burns at forward, Tennyson in the AHL.

It all depends on camp, but I can see Tennyson winning a spot especially with Havlat on LITR.

Could see

Vlasic Bruan

Stuart Tennyson

Irwin Boyle

Yeah....that's pretty good. I still want to move Boyle and drop Burns back, but I could live with that.

The only way I see Tennyson get in there at this point is if Demers gets hurt again. If Demers is healthy, he's going to play.

And that is why Hannan should NOT be re-signed.

Please someone take Hannan off our hands before we pay Demers 1.5 mill to be the 7th d-man.

Uhg Hannan. We got lucky last year with him, the longer we keep him, the longer the suckitude will return. Also, we dont even remotely need him and there is no way he's going to be a 7th dman. Plus its a waste of cap space.

I agree about Hannan. I was skeptical when he was acquired and ate crow when he played admirably. It was cool having him back. But the Sharks lost and it's done now. We know what we're getting from him. In the long term it would be better to have Irwin, Braun, and Demers all receiving minutes instead of Demers being benched. No one wants to see the same old song and dance of a declining veteran D being played every night over a more capable player. I won't do Hannan the disgrace of lumping him into the Wallin/White category but the point still stands.

I just get this terrible feeling that we will all be let down tomorrow. In all reality, I don't expect the Sharks to do much of anything. I don't see what DW is trying to do here at all.
