Gotta love how these Top 10, 20 or whatever articles are way off. San Francisco the #1 Snoby City in America? LA not in the Top 10? Miami not even on the list? Scottsdale seems way more snobby than San Francisco but not as snobby as most of the North Bay(more so Marin County).

Thoughts?

I think it's because a lot of people confuse the words snobby and smug. Scottsdale is snobby as hell but not very smug. I doubt SF is all that snobby but you'd be hard pressed to find a greater concentration of smugness.

snob = the rich guy at the country club
smug = the hipster at coffee shop

One physical the other mental, two sides of the same narcissistic coin.

Three days into my new job.

Classroom training has been extremely boring and mostly theory. We got to go out onto the production floor today and listen in to some live calls though. Those 2 hours were more helpful to me than the rest of the 22 hours I've been in the training classroom.

I now work phone tech support for Apple. 5 weeks of training first, though.

But Apple products "just work".

I hate that too. I use Firefox and if you go to tools/Add ons and under plugins you can disable the shockwave flash plugin. Won't see videos though. Pick your poison.

So yeah, about that whole 'on its back thing' ....

Saw a picture where there was damage to the seawall at SFO. Probably clipped that, lost the tail in the process. Everyone accounted for so far, no deaths.

Person must have saw it from far away and thought "NO TAIL! Must be on its back!!" Instead of thinking it lost the tail..

Thank God everyone is accounted for and alive. Could have been much worse.

Lots of conflicting info of what happened and the investagation is still going.

2 dead; 60 people injured; 10 critical after the crash.

EDIT: Also reports going around that 60 people are still missing.

Either way, more credit to HockeyHillbilly if he has insider information. I don't fault him for sharing any info he has and I appreciate him doing so (no offense, I am assuming a masculine).

I'm not crazy about a Vanek trade. Obviously we are in a position that we need to add talent, but he's not a player I would want to pay that price for in terms of both assets and salary/cap space (not that cap space is a concern for us at this time).

Interesting. Were not too kind to Walshy around these parts, lol

Can't wait to see what sort of daft emotional piece he has conjured up to celebrate the team staying. My main issue with him is the way he leads the player on with a question. "What's it like to paly with Shane Doan?" "No seriously... what it likes to play with THE Shane Doan?" There's no room for the player to just say what they want to say. I don't bother to watch the interviews anymore.

I never really liked Walshy. He looks like a tool and is not interesting to watch. His voice is monotone to me and there is no excitement. I swear he is almost at a whisper when interviewing players. I really wish there could be some one better than Todd Walsh to do his job.

Ive read on here before that some press may lurk around these boards and I really don't know. But I hope Todd Walsh reads about how fans don't like him and he stops being in front of the camera.

Am I the only one?

Then he answers the question for them, like for example:

"That was the turning goal for the game, wasn't it?" Doesn't really leave the player any room for his own opinion. Instead he should ask something like, " How important do you think your goal was?" Or something along those lines. How he became a professional journalist with those of kinds of questions is beyond me.

He's okay. He seems to care about the team. That much I like.

He's a bit melodramatic but overall he's okay, I guess.

One guy who's really improved is Tyson Nash.

I like Nash until we play EDM, he is obsessive about their young players. I also cannot stand him constantly saying we don't have star players when player like Yandle and OEL are recognized league wide as star players.

I don't mind Nash and his ridiculous shirt and ties. Walsh is really the only one that gets on my nerves.

What are we talking about again? Vanek?

He's from around there so he's a fan of the Oilers. My dad hates watching EDM games because Tyson is salivates all over them.

Still, I agree with rt, Nash has improved threefold the last few years.

HAte Nash and Walshy.
The questions in general that all the sports press ask are retarted. Glad Torts exposes the media for it.

That was awesome Vip, thanks for sharing!

Also, I've been sitting on this link for a couple of days now and didn't share because I wanted to win it for myself, but common sense has taken over and I realize I could use the money elsewhere, so I'll post this here cause I'd like to see a Coyotes fan have this.

The CHL is auctioning off the game worn jerseys from the Team Orr vs Team Cherry CHL Top Prospects game, with all the proceeds going to the Calgary flood relief efforts. Max Domi's jersey is amongst the lot and right now the asking price is at a surprisingly low $222. The auction ends today(Sunday) at around 4 so good luck if any of you wanted to slip in at the last second ebay style to try and snag it!

The link's here for anyone interested.
