Some horrible moves there.
Drewiske will play probably 10 games
Desharnais is awful
Brière didn't play a game yet and money is right
MB should've waited for Bouillon's extension but not bad.

Since we can't afford Scuderi now, I would go for Fistric.

And Gordon of course!

We need a Defenceman.

-Rob Scuderi : Big, physical defensive defenceman.
-Andrew Ference : Good defensive defenceman
-Michal Rozsival : Just won the cup, could be a good piece.
-Ron Hainsey : because ex-habs is fun.
-Ryan Whitney : Puck moving D, who worked really well in MT.
-Ian White : 5'10 defensive defenceman. Lot of characters. See what I did?
-Tom Gilbert : Good in a non-existent d-zone.
-Mike Komisarek : he played for therrien and he could be a good 7th D.
-Douglas Murray : Big physical presence.
-Anton Babchuk : 6'5, we never know. Probably only 'cauze of the height.
-Marek Zidlicky : 5'11, lot of characters.

And

Unless Bergevin unloads Desharnais for a prospect and/or pick, I don't see him making another FA signing.

Pretty sad calling it a FRENZY when the 2nd best UFA is a 0.5 PPGM forward.
Back to back seasons of 25+ goals production.

wat. There's no toughness to be had with this crop. Best we can hope for is Boyd Gordon to center the fourth line and maybe a guy like Scuderi. Maybe take a chance on Jonathon Blum. Clowe/Clarkson have already stated we're not on their list. That's it for grit in this class unless you want 90 year old Morrow.

We still need a 3rd line winger, a Colby Armstrong replacement, and i'd imagine a d-man. People need to relax. FA hasn't even started and everyone says we are done, not improving our team etc...Give it time.

Give me Scuderi from that list. I could also live with Komisarek/Roszival/Murray at a discounted price.

Also Zidlicky is far from a "character guy"

With a pinch over $5 million in cap space, don't expect much. Again, if they want some BIG names, a la Scuderi, Ference, etc. AND someone on wing, they'll need to trade someone for next to nothing in order to clear out some space. I doubt they can sign two guys for under $5 million combined and expect those players to be impact players.

Ran into ex-Leaf Dominic Moore over here at Wimbledon. Definitely looking at getting back into NHL after yr off following death of his wife.

I would take him for our 4th line, no questions asked. Perfect bottom-6 player.

You and me both.

I was livid at the Drewiskie trade and extension because it indicated exactly that, and so far we've been proven right.

Seeing Diaz get chumped by 18-year olds over and over was stomach-churning. Seeing Bouillon jerk his head around to watch the puck fly into the net every PK because he can't clear the crease for **** was agitating. Seeing our two-dmen either fly toward the puck carrier leaving the weak side fully open OR collapse with their ***** up Price's face with no middle ground was just... infuriating

He's not interested in a culture change, he's not interesting in taking the Habs in a new direction. Small and French is how he likes it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as bad as Gainey, because it's been a little over a year and he's been BAD at every major decision-making point except the 2012 draft which was mandated by Gauthier anyway.

Heck, IF they do something, it's possible they get it done within the first hour or two. That way, he can go to work either pissed off or full of joy.

Yeah, he does. I think DD would be a good fit in St. Louis because they can surround him with size. DD was fine when he had Patches & Cole on his line, but then Cole and Patches both got off to bad starts and DD was awful too.

It would be nice if Plekanec had size on his wings too but he's shown that he can be successful without it. DD hasn't.

I think DD can still put up 60 pts next year. In a bad year, he was still on target to hit 50, and he's the type of player who's worked too hard to make it to the NHL not to come back ready to play next season.

I can't see them being interested in DD, but at the same time I have a hard time seeing Hitchcock being interested in Weiss.
