Not on TV, but SiriusXM has coverage going already. Good time to sign up for a free trial and listen online, if you are at your computer and don't subscribe.

Would love to sign Maxim Lapierre. Full season of Dorsett and Lapierre would be extremely entertaining.

We don't have much money to sign UFAs unless we're dumping existing players/salary. No need to be freaking out that our guys haven't been signed yet.

If Moore or Lapierre can be signed for cheap, I wouldn't mind it at all.

Boyle is much better.

Moore hasn't played in a while.

I don't see the point in him moving to wing when he's a natural center.

Boyle looked good on the wing last year so why not? And he also played some defense in college so I wouldn't be worried about moving him around.

I don't see the point in bringing a fringe center to displace a good center transitioning to wing. No thanks to Moore.

The Rangers have more than enough wingers in the bottom 6.

I concur, but Franson at the right price makes sense. What do you recommend?

Also, new estimates on the market for MDZ, please.
Thought Howson would push something around MDZ + for 7th overall +.

Is MDZ best:
+ Boyle + 2014 3rd for Burmistrov, Postma + Jets 2014 2nd

or

+ X to LA for Alec Martinez + Y, pref. a LW/C

or
some other _______________

Emery to Flyers...one year: according to SportsNet Hockey Central Free Agency show

Quote:
Expect Emery to sign with Flyers. Expect a 1 yr deal. Strategic move to establish starter role and bigger $$ down the road.

Leafs will take one more run at extending Tyler Bozak in the minutes ahead. If they can't make a deal...he goes free.

The only thing Boyle is good at, as far as a center, is his face-off abilities. And those can be used from the wing. He is much more suited to the wing and it would allow his offensive game to be simplified.

Hmm, that's probably because A.V. broke the news to Sather, as I'm breaking it to you. This team needs help. They are easily a middle of the pack team based solely on goaltending. So let's keep the door open and explore every available option to improve the team. . Yeah?

Bern and everyone, let's keep these types of posts to a minimum today as there will be real news and rumors to discuss.

#NYR As @NYDNRangers noted, expect deal for RFA Dman Ryan McDonagh soon. Doesn't sound like deals for Stepan, Hagelin are imminent, though
Now that sounds like more than speculation.

Boyle brings much more than face-off ability. He is a very physical player that can eat pucks up in the defensive end. Moore hasn't played hockey in a year and is a bigger risk trying him out at 4C than giving it to Boyle who for the most part, has filled in admirably at that position. Moore is not much better offensively than Boyle either.

I believe the idea is to have two centers in both bottom 6 lines.

The great thing is, both players are very effective at wing.
