If DiPietro had gone back to the AHL , he would have been paid $3.7m.Instead he will get $1.5m.

Streit made $4.1m last season. He rejected Snow's $4.75m offer. His replacement is Matt Donovan , who I think will make $800,000.

Next to Tavares , Hamonic is probably the most important Isles. I feel pretty confident the isles match for Hamonic.

Want to badly overpay Bailey? Go for it. With Grabo gone , it will probably feel strange not to have someone badly overpaid in Toronto.

Sure it is. After all, we all know that teams that make more money inherently deserve to be the only competitive ones. Hundreds of thousands of partisan, subjective fans of those teams can't possibly be wrong, can they?

Entitlement complexes. Gotta love 'em.

A team cannot have two offer sheets out that each have the same picks attached as compensation.

That would be quite the opposite of a 'smart' GM to make a mistake like that.

So everyone is in agreement, things only get interesting if it's Calgary doing the offering.

Armstrong has said they'll match any offer sheet for their RFAs. The Blues will match any offer sheet for Petro and Stewart.

Armstrong has already said at least 15 times that they will match any offer sheet.

Well it doesn't have to be one team offersheeting. Players like McD and Steps are upgrades on many teams and with their youth and yearly progression it could be worth it. But only Calgary please, I want lotterypicks if i'm gonna lose one of them.

The Jets will match any offers on their good RFA's, the only possible way they let Bogo walk is if we get 4 1sts back from a lottery team. I myself am hoping WPG offersheets Alzner at 4-6m, very little chance of them being able to match that and the price isn't to high for a team knocking on the playoff door and Alzner filling a huge hole next to Buff.

Also wouldn't mind offersheeting Stepan at 4.5-6m, but NYR would likely match that.

Not only would we match that, I'd ban you from IKEA, I'd ban u from kebabs, listening to Abba and from eating Swedish meatballs. You do not want to go down this road my friend!

I'm sure they will, but Armstrong could say it one million times and it doesn't mean anything. OF COURSE he's going to say it. What kind of fool would say anything but that?

Jets are pretty damn vulnerable here, lots of cap space but not when you consider who we have to sign. Wheeler, Little, and Bogosian are three juicy targets.

I doubt it, given Toronto wasn't really carrying a single outrageous contract.

I mean seriously..Dipietro and Yashin and you want to play this card?

I would not be opposed to offering Shea Weber money to Pietrangelo. I fully expect the Blues to match, but I would structure it in a way that it would hurt their bottom line.

Most teams with valuable RFAs have the cap space. Question becomes whether if their ownership would have the means or desire to match.

I don't think they are, even if we spend 18m on the big 3 we should have enough to either sign the rest or let them go and bring some prospects up.

DiPietro was coming off an Olympic appearance and on his way to an all -star appearance , when he got his big contract.

Yashin was coming offf a 93/94 point season , when he got his Isle contract.

Like I said, stick witih the fantasy that Wang cannot afford to match or won't.
