I'm not surprised Grabo cleared waivers. Nobody claimed him which tells you no team thought he was worth the contract he had.

agreed. I am a staunch poile defender but if we passed on this and end up drawing a blank and getting nobody that is pretty poor management by DP.

Hopefully he passed because he's already got someone lined up

Gill was worth his contract? Goose is worth is? How many UFA's are worth their contract?

Had a chance to grab a top 6 and sat on our hands. I don't see us spending much if any $$ today especially since no one wants to come here to begin with. Say all GMDP continues to say but his track record says more. Depressing to say the least.

Hopefully he called Grabo's agent and said he wanted to claim him but was willing not to if Grabo wanted to make more $$$$ this year (and every year) by combining salary and buyout $.

Yep I was just going to point this out. If I'm Grabovski, I'd be pissed if someone claimed me. He would have lost out on millions of dollars. And given his attitude, he probably would have resented whoever claimed him. Players on buyout waivers pretty much always clear. I think there's been 1 waiver claim, ever.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the KHL if nobody will give him what he wants.

Grabo is getting married today, isn't he? If so, I'm not sure Free Agent Frenzy is high on his priorities.
